Pots that grow with plants
Pots that grow with the plants, free gardeners from the need to transplant plants from a small pot to a large one with the process of growth and development of the root system. Let's look at three examples of such "growing" pots from industrial designers.Flower pot Growth (Growth) - originalDesigned by London-based design studio Ayaskan, the unique 'folding' system allows the pot to grow and expand with the houseplant, acting as a changing outer shell for the root system."In the natural environment, everythingevolves, is born, grows, blooms, withers, dies and is absorbed by the earth. And in today's industrial world, numerous goods are produced, used and thrown away, often without even being recycled. Our flower pots are carefully designed and able to imitate nature's features - changing and growing, revealing themselves over time," say the studio's designers.Industrial designer Emmanuel Pizzolorusso(Emanuel Pizzolorusso) created a simpler flowerpot that can also be adapted to a grown plant. The pot is made of silicone, and while the plant is small, the edges of the pot are bent downwards. As the plant grows, the edges can be bent back, thus increasing the container's volume for the developed root system. The saucer for the pot is also made of silicone. Korean industrial designer Ding LiuLiu took the idea of a collapsible camping bucket and made an expandable, or rather, height-extending fabric pot that will grow along with the flower. The pot can grow from completely flatcondition up to a height of about 30 cm. The fabric part is made of synthetic material with a waterproof coating. Seams and joints are processed under high temperature to prevent water leakage. Such a folding pot can also serve as a planter for an ordinary ceramic pot with drainage.
