In the patchwork technique, you can make various interior and exterior items, clothes, accessories. At the same time, they will look no worse than exclusive designer items. Patchwork has been known for many centuries. Over time, this type of needlework has turned from a necessity into a real art. Today, craftswomen from many countries present real masterpieces of their creativity, which amaze with their beauty, sophistication, and originality. Almost every woman can learn to work with scraps of fabric. Only at first glance does it seem that the process is very complicated. In fact, you can easily sew a beautiful thing with your own hands. In this article, we invite you to familiarize yourself with sewing a cosmetic bag using the patchwork technique.For work we need fabric scrapssmall size in the amount of three or four pieces. The coloring should be harmonious, so that all the parts match each other. The size of each should be approximately 25 x 35 centimeters. For a patchwork pattern, you will also need three elements measuring 15 x 15 centimeters. In addition to the main elements, you will need a zipper for the fastener, interlining and two pieces of facing 47 cm x 5 cm. Initially, we need to make a pattern-template from thick cardboard. The rounded part of the pattern should match the length of the zipper for the fastener.We will definitely leave three centimeters of fabric for the bottom of our future cosmetic bag. We will also make the lining pattern using the template.Let's take the main fabric and cut out the back side of the product from it.Now let's move on to the patchwork drawing.It is called “card trick” and consists of triangles of fabric. The design itself is quite complex. Therefore, we will do it using a simplified method. We will need to cut out two squares of the same size – 6 by 6 centimeters.We will fold them diagonally, as shown in the photo, and stitch them. We will carefully iron the seams. After that we add the square of dark and the squarelight color, sew again and iron the seams. One square is the center of the block. Now take four squares with the same dimensions (6 x 6 centimeters), fold them with the right sides facing each other and repeat the action. Stitch on the machine and cut diagonally.Let's take two more square-shaped pieces of fabric with the same dimensions. We will put them together with the ready-made elements (sub-blocks), mark a diagonal line and pin them with sewing pins. We need to make a double stitch diagonally. As a result, we should get blocks like those in the photo.Let's move on to laying out the drawing project. The options are in the photo.Now let's prepare the corners needed for the drawing. We will assemble the finished block in rows. As a result of all the actions we will get this drawing under the interesting name “card trick”.After all the previous manipulations, we need to place the resulting blank on the pattern of the product. We will complete the elements and cut out the necessary pieces until the whole piece of material is finished.We'll sew everything on with a sewing machine.Carefully sew the two parts of the cosmetic bag, the front and the back, together.Now we need the top part of the cosmetic bag.stitch with similarly shaped pieces of lining material (in our case, it's synthetic padding) and lining fabric. We'll fold all the elements and stitch. To keep the layers from coming apart, they need to be secured first. We'll use regular sewing pins for this purpose. Be sure to iron the seams well.Using facings, we will process the rounded edges and iron them well again. We should get a cosmetic bag like this when unfolded.Carefully sew in the zipper.The zipper should be stitched on the inside of the product.The patchwork cosmetic bag sewing has come to an end.
