Shelving unit with drawers
Using every inch of the room space,we can increase the useful area for storing things. "Smart" furniture will help to solve the issue of storage even more effectively, for example, a shelf with drawers of the Korean designer Yi-Cong Lu. Shelves are not advanced in the usual way, with the total volume of the shelves increasing, and zanchit, you can accommodate more books and things. 
The idea of the designer is original and simple, andit is quite easy to make such a rack with drawers with their own hands. Unlike industrial racks, in this model the shelves are not advanced forward, but in the sides, expanding the entire structure. In fact, retractable shelves are ordinary furniture boxes on metal guides. We used to use such drawers in cupboards and chests of drawers, only here boxes are located vertically, and guides - on the back wall of the rack. In this model, the designer made one long drawer on the lower shelves and two smaller boxes on the top ones. Each of them can be pushed in one or the other direction, depending on the need for additional space. This piece of furniture interacts withuser, changing the shape and size, and without the use of electronics and other complex technologies. Using the guides for the drawers of the desk, such a rack is quite likely to be made by hand.
