- Sakura branch or other
- Measurement ruler
- Knife (stationery)
- Adhesive for processing
- Acrylic paint (brown color)
- Pillow (stamp)
Making the accordion
So, let's get down to our work. First, you need to cut 4 strips from the paper. A large postcard will require the sizes of strips 20 to 20 centimeters and 13 to 10 centimeters. Next, we work on scoring in indentations for every 2 centimeters, so that the accordion has turned out. After that, we have to fold the objects and cut the corners obliquely along the edges of the large versions of the accordion, so that they are directed towards each other. Next, we collect all the elements of the frame and glue together.
Create a foundation
Next, we work on the outer part of the product. For this we need to make a rectangle measuring 20 by 36 centimeters. One sheet is not enough, so glue two at once. Next, we divide it along the long side into parts of 9 centimeters, 2.5 centimeters, 13 centimeters, again 2.5 centimeters and again 9 centimeters. Then, decorate the creasing and bend in these lines. Next, using contrasting color, we cut out the necessary rectangles that fit for the corresponding parts of the postcard but with dimensions 2 mm smaller for each side. After, use the tinting of the edges and sew the elements to the base.
Next, we work on the details: The frame for the internal view, special valves and handles to the future portfolio. Then, the frame is fixed to the window-accordion. Attention! Now you do not need to glue the harmony window to the base. Next, sew the valves to the upper hempostcards. Then, in order for the portfolio to have a closing mechanic like the present, for the valves it is necessary to make two rectangles that are attached to the brades. The upper part of the portfolio is also fixed with a handle, also on the brads.
Everything, the basis of the portfolio is completely ready. Next, you need to issue our product. For decor we picked up a cherry branch, you can take another. In addition, you need to come up with a thematic inscription that fits our picture. Sakura's chipboard is decorated with a brown watercolor paint. Further, when the paint dries, use the tint to make our object voluminous. Chipboard will stand out. After, the elements are covered with a transparent craquelure. The surface becomes cracked and the chipboard looks like a real tree. The final stage of decorating the postcard and the inscription is the final touch of scrapbooking.
