Barbie became the most popular doll in the whole world. Each girl looked forward with presents in the hope that there was a barbie or maybe her friend Ken or other numerous relatives. Who did not become Barbie for 55 years of her history: mother, athlete, woman astronaut and even the president. Times have changed, it is difficult for our children to surprise. Barbie dust on shelves or lying in toy boxes. If you want to make a surprise for your child, ask him to make his own doll, and if your girlfriend collects these beauties from childhood, Barbie of your making will be a wonderful gift. 
So, what can you do at hometo make a beautiful Barbie. There are several options, one of them, polymer clay. Polymer clay is a plastic material used by craftsmen for sculpting and modeling small details: figurines, ornaments, pupae, figurines. He appeared not so long ago, but has already gained popularity. You can buy it in any store for needlework, but in order to keep it's shape it is enough to "bake" it in the oven at a temperature of 100-130 degrees. 
Before you start making a doll, you need tothink about what it will be: its growth, size, image. Next we make the blanks of our future pupa from the foil, we cover them with polymer clay from above, all parts of the body must be planted on a wire or toothpick and bake in the oven. 
The doll design you choose depends onwhat result you want to get: on the hinges, then it will be mobile or simply glue the parts of the body, then it will be fixed. You can also choose for your pupa a combined design - the trunk, pens and legs, sew on a pattern of fabric, stuffing them with sintepon or cotton wool, and make the head, palms and feet out of plastic. This is the easiest way for beginners. Particular attention should be given to making head and face 
You can use glass eyes, theyare sold in the store, but, in no case, not plastic. If there are no ready eyes, we make them with the help of tools. To make a face, special tools are used - stacks or just a toothpick. So, the body parts are ready for us. We collect the doll. After assembly, it must be painted. We take acrylic paint in beige color and color all the parts of the body, first diluting it. Then we paint with black paint eyes, eyelashes, eyebrows, then red lips. 
At the final stage we make hair. They can be made from a wig, silk thread or wool, just glue them on the head and voila. Our Barbie is made of polymer clay. It remains only to sew her outfit under a previously invented image.
