Installation of the suspended ceiling from the lining with your own hands with detailed instructions
Very often due to heavy cookingor due to old repairs, your beautiful snow-white ceiling may turn yellow. In such cases, it may help to cover the entire kitchen together with the ceiling with ceramic tiles, this is one of the most reliable and durable building materials, of course, if your neighbors do not flood you from above. Or simply use water-based paint, cover the ceiling with it several times. But this option will save you from yellowing for only a year.Ideal for use and not afraid of cold, moisture - plastic lining. It is light, easy to use, cut, fasten. But like any other material, it has its drawbacks. The property of corrosion occurs with close contact with an object of high positive temperature. For example, if a 100 V fluorescent light bulb is installed at a distance of 5 cm, the lining may begin to melt. Although this can happen, even on wooden lining or ceramic tiles, with such close contact, blackening can form. So today we will tell you how to install a suspended ceiling made of plastic lining. For this we will need: 1. Profiles (CD and UD) 2. Profile clamps 3. Large and small self-tapping screws for metal 4. Building level 5. Lining 6. Internal plugs for lining 7. Step ladder 8. Screwdriver or screwdriver 9. Drill 10. Dowels 11. Stationery knife 12. Grinder with a metal disc or a hacksaw with a metal blade This is approximately the stock of tools and building materials you will have to deal with before starting work. Always keep a hammer somewhere to the side, because you never know, the dowel will not fit into the hole you just made, or the screw itself will not screw in. Sometimes one light blow of the hammer changes everything dramatically.First of all, you should measure the sizeceiling, width and length, then cut the mounting profiles with a grinder and secure them by drilling holes in the walls for the dowels. Do this so that the thin profile guides (which you will be attaching along the ceiling contour) are at the same height. Do not forget to always check with a level whether each of the profiles is attached evenly. Then push it into the installed profiles, UDprofiles (the recommended thickness starts from 0.40-0.45 microns), which are thicker, so that they are perpendicular to the future fixed lining. Then mark on the ceiling the place where you will drill the fastener for each of them. Fasten the profile to the fastener, then bend the edges of the fastener inward. After all, each of the linings will be attached to the thick profiles. Now you need to fix it along the contourplastic plugs for the lining, because it is thanks to them that the ends of each of the lining will seem smoothed and the overall background of the ceiling acquires a look of completeness. Cut each of them smaller exactly as much as you need space to insert each part of the lining. The only thing you should not do is to fix the final, last line of the plug, which will close the entire ceiling chain of lining. Since if it is attached, the last line of the suspended ceiling will not be able to cling properly. Now all that remains is the precise cutting of each line of the lining, after which you will need a screwdriver and self-tapping screws for metal.Attach the first lining to the aluminum profileyou need to hold it by its longest edge, but only so that it is not a guide, but adjoins the wall. If the first part of the ceiling, that is, the first sheet of lining, is not fixed with screws to the profile, there is nothing to worry about, of course, if it does not sag down too much. Now, after the first lining has been successfully installed, getting into the grooves and screwing the lining to the profiles, fix all its other parts. Before doing this, think about whether you want to soundproof your apartment from the neighbors above. If you have such a desire, then you can put thin wooden beams on the profiles, without overloading the entire structure, of course, and lay pieces of mineral wool on top of them. Mineral wool has very good noise absorption rates, about 15-20 decibels, depending on the density.Think in advance about how to deal with overlappingceiling, you will have lighting, because if the wire and the chandelier itself are attached to the ceiling, then you will need to install one of the profiles to which you will attach the chandelier right in the center. Do not lose sight of the electrical wire, having extended it in advance. Before starting such work, try to remember whether you have high-voltage wires in the place where you will drill holes. After all, having drilled a hole in one of them, you can lose light and get hurt, or disable some electrical appliance, due to the short circuit. Safety precautions when performing such work should be in the first place. Remember that it is better to carry out such work on weekdays and during daylight hours.
