In hot summer you want to hide from the sun not onlyon the street, but also at home. Nowadays, there are many different methods to make your home more comfortable in the heat, someone installs air conditioners, puts fans, but not everyone suits these options (they are either expensive or do not look aesthetically pleasing). The most optimal option for me were roller blinds. They will perfectly protect you from prying eyes and will not create pitch darkness in the room, letting in sunlight, making the room light, airy and uncluttered. This is a great alternative to classic curtains. This solution will bring novelty and freshness to your interior. You can make such curtains with your own hands. To create them, you can use various materials: from wood to textiles. One of the varieties of roller blinds are Roman blinds. Following the instructions, you can create them yourself. To create roller blinds, we will need: two blinds; about two meters of fabric (the footage of the fabric depends on the size of the window); a construction gun with liquid nails; fabric glue; scissors; a sewing machine. Often, a method without seams is used in the work, and only special glue is used. In order for our curtains to look neat and finished, you need to lay a seam. It is necessary to fold the fabric into two equal parts and fold it twice along the edges. Iron and stitch.Roller blinds with their own hands. Photo №1Now let's get to the blinds. Remove all the connecting parts.Roller blinds with their own hands. Photo # 2Leave the inner central thread in place.Roller blinds with their own hands. Photo №4Let's start taking measurements. In this case, a 108 cm long fabric is used, every 18 cm makes up a crossbar of the future curtains. Use a pencil and draw all the measurements on the back side. Glue the crossbars along the lines. Use fabric glue. Try to glue carefully, do not apply a lot of glue, because when it dries and hardens, the lines from it may show through from the outside. Straighten the material so that folds do not form and then glue the crossbars, making sure that they are evenly located.Roller blinds with their own hands. Photo №5We fix the frame, pass the threads through the holes in the crossbars. In some places you will have to separate the fabric and glue, but this will not destroy the entire structure.Roller blinds with their own hands.
