Sewing on a pattern of a lush skirt of tulle for a woman with a description for beginners.
One of the advantages of a tulle skirt is itsversatility. It will be perfect for a date, a party, a walk, depending on what style you choose. Another advantage is the ease of sewing. Even for beginners, sewing this type of skirt will be easy.In this master class we will cut and sewa fluffy tulle skirt on a cover. Before buying the fabric, you will need to take two measurements: waist circumference and skirt length (for example, to the knee). After that, you will need to do some calculations: 1. Add five centimeters to the length of the skirt. 2. Divide the waist size by 3.14, then divide the resulting number in half. This is how we learned the waist radius. 3. Add these two values, and denote the resulting sum with the symbol A. If the sum is less than or equal to 27, you will need a piece of tulle, somewhere 6x1.7 m. If the sum is more than 27, you will need to buy 10-12 m of tulle. In addition, you will need to buy material for the base cover (it is desirable that it does not stretch or crumble). To get the length of the cut, multiply the waist circumference by 1.5. You will select the width depending on the desired length of the cover.In addition to the materials listed, you will need the following:
- tracing paper;
- tailoring meter;
- Pins;
- a segment of a wide elastic band, which in length is equal to the waist circumference plus two centimeters;
- Threads, the shade of which will be as close as possible to the color of the fabric;
- sewing machine;
- scissors.
If you can't get hold of soft tulle, you can wash, dry and iron it. This will make it softer.Work progress. 1. Draw a semicircular pattern on tracing paper: - the white arrow indicates the waist radius; - the black arrow indicates the length of the skirt.2. Cut out the template. 3. If your size A is less than 27, then fold the tulle in half (lengthwise), otherwise this step is skipped.4. Fold the tulle in half (like a book), then fold it in half again. You will get eight layers of material.5. We fasten them all with pins along the top edge of the stack and cut out all the pieces at the same time.6.After the above steps, you will have four identical circles with a hole in the middle. If you don't have enough material, you can make semicircular elements, which you can then sew in pairs. 7. Put two circles together and baste along the edge of the hole in the center.8. Place two blanks one on top of the other and use pins to mark 4 points near the waist: in front, behind and on the sides. Visually, the pins will divide the circle into four equal parts.9.Bring the ends of the elastic together and sew them together with an overlap (we had a 2-centimeter reserve for this). Mark four points on the elastic that match the marks on the skirt. 10. Secure the tulle from the inside of the elastic and sew with a zigzag. 11. Take a rectangular piece of fabric for the cover, fold it in half and sew along the side edge. If the fabric frays, first process its lower edge with an overlock.12. We lay a basting stitch along the upper edge of the “tube” that we have created, and tighten the thread so that the cover fits snugly around the waist.13. Sew it to the elastic band under the tulle. Trim the material along the bottom line so that it is not noticeable.That's all. You have completed making a tulle skirt with your own hands.
