Tinting the picture with colored pencils plays an important role in the integrity of the created picture

Toning a drawing with colored pencils -This is one of the ways of drawing in this technique. Many famous artists use it, achieving a stunning effect in their works. This knowledge will not hurt a novice artist either and will allow him to make his drawing unusually beautiful. After all, toning can convey all the shades, make individual parts of the image less bright or, conversely, saturated. Drawing with a pencil is a special technique with which you can create beautiful drawings, convey a variety of colors, achieve a stunning effect when conveying iridescence, for example, animal fur, glare on water, an unusual pattern of human eyes and much more. Anyone can draw lines and color pictures in one color or another, even a small child. This does not require special knowledge, except for the correct application of strokes so that the picture ultimately turns out to be complete and not clumsy, which also requires certain practical exercises and skills. But there are other ways to give the drawing originality, naturalness, attractiveness with the help of such a wonderful material as colored pencils. It is the tinting of the drawing with colored pencils that will allow us to ideally convey the entire range of colors and shades. Many masters in the art of painting use tinting, in particular multi-layer tinting. In this case, several colors are applied one on top of the other. The layer of each color should be translucent. With ordinary tinting, the strokes should be applied very close to one another to get even areas of the desired color. The figure shows several methods of simple tinting.Tinting the picture with colored pencils. Photo №1The first section (A) is made with a bluntpencil. The second section (B) is more saturated than the first (colored with a sharpened pencil). The third section (C) was colored in such a way as to create an uneven surface (makes the drawing more realistic). Multi-layer toning is used to mix colors and obtain a completely new shade, if it is necessary to achieve a muted natural brightness of a particular section, to create volume, complexity of some images on the general background, to create and modify texture. As a rule, expressiveness can be achieved using several layers of different colors. In the drawing below, the coloring of the cat was done using multi-layer toning. Such colors as red, blue and dark purple were used.Tinting the picture with colored pencils. Photo # 2Smooth objects can be tinted with twomethods: traditional and fast. With the traditional method, tones are first applied (white paper is quite noticeable). Then the entire surface of the drawing is covered with a white pencil, muting the previously obtained tones. In this case, the whiteness of the paper itself becomes almost invisible. New layers of the desired colors are applied to the smooth surface. And the final stage is the application of another layer of colors, which restore the desired saturation and completely hide the gaps in the paper and its roughness.Tinting the picture with colored pencils. The background is drawn in the desired color, the pressure on the pencil should be very strong. The image itself, in this case an apple, is painted with lighter strokes, since this layer should be smoothly connected with the following ones. As a result, only by pressing hard on the pencil at the final stage can we achieve a rich, beautiful shade.Tinting the picture with colored pencils. Two bright, related colors applied on top of each other make the tone muted.Tinting the picture with colored pencils.
