Bridge Shelves are an interesting design concept for shelves that will add a touch of elegance to any interior. These bookshelves were inspired by suspension bridges, namely two remarkable engineering marvels – the Golden Gate Bridge (San Francisco Bay) and the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge (Awaji Island, Japan). While the aforementioned bridges are complex and intricate, the hanging shelf designed by Danish company Bolia is light, airy, simple and very cute. Bridge Shelves consists of four parts made of oak: a plank that is attached to the wall and three shelves of different lengths. Similar to the design of the bridges, the hanging shelf is held in place by curved metal rods. The shelves can be moved along the horizontal plank, thus changing the appearance as you wish and adjusting it to the contents.
