Even if a child is just learning to work with this type of material, it will not be difficult for him to depict this mysterious bird on paper. Since the work is done only with paints, for the baby it will become not only an interesting activity, but also an excellent way to acquire skills that he can apply in further practice. Every child without exception is interested in drawing. First, these are pencils, and then paints. So that he does not lose desire and interest in this type of art at the slightest failure, the task of the adults around him is to teach the little fidget to draw. There are many ways to master this wonderful type of art, both traditional and non-traditional. Each of them is interesting in its own way. You can choose any of them for training, the main thing is that the baby is interested in his activity. After all, not everyone has natural abilities for talent, so difficulties may arise in the learning process. Today we will introduce children to the traditional drawing technique - gouache drawing. These paints are very easy to work with. They give a bright, saturated color and have the property of drying quickly. Therefore, the drawing will be expressive, and you will not have to wait long for the paint to dry completely. So, let's begin. To start working, we will need to prepare all the necessary tools and materials.

  • Take an ordinary white sheet of paper, whose format is A3
  • Brushes for drawing, you need both thick and thin
  • A photo or picture of an owl on it
  • Gouache paint (in the work we will use all the shades of brown, red, yellow and black)
  • Palette
  • Water tank
  • A clean cloth or napkins, so you can wipe your hands and, if necessary, the work surface of the table.

To do this, we will take brown paint with a thick brush and draw a large oval. The same as we see in the photo below.Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Photo # 2Inside the oval that serves as the bird's body, we first need to make the plumage around the bird's eyes. To do this, we will draw two circles in the same color (at the top of the oval).Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Picture №3Now let's paint these circles with yellow gouache andLet's add feathers to the body. We depict feathers using small brush strokes. For plumage, we will use the same color scheme that we take for this or that part of the body. Therefore, the mixed paint will definitely be useful to us practically throughout the entire work process.Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Photo №4Finish drawing with black (you can usedark brown) paint the wing of our bird. It will have the shape of a leaf. You should show the baby that you can depict both wings on paper, which he can direct downwards or upwards. The little artist himself should decide which pose to choose for the owl. At the bottom of the body, we need to finish drawing the tail in the same color as the wing (or wings). It will have the color of a triangle. How to do this correctly is clearly visible in the photo.Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Photo №5We choose one of the shades of brown andwe draw the legs of our owl. They are also shaped like triangles. As is known, this bird has not only strong legs, but also quite impressive claws. To convey this in our drawing, we take black gouache on the brush and simply apply the brush to the lower part of the triangle legs. The image should be approximately the same as in the picture.Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Photo №6When the claws are ready, we return to the owl's eyes.We need to draw feathers around them. To do this, we simply draw small lines, like the ones we see in the photo. Our owl is almost ready. It remains to add some details, for example, a branch with or without leaves, on which it sits.Figure owls for children, made in the technique of drawing gouache. Photo №7Both your baby and you will definitely enjoy workingwith gouache and spend time together. At first, of course, he will need your help, but after some time, the baby himself will be able to easily cope with this drawing, and with other, more complex objects and compositions.
