Soft plastic pouffes with filler from lids
Many design studios specialize inreusing household waste in original and interesting projects with the aim of making a feasible contribution to saving nature from the impending garbage cataclysm. An example of such an eco-friendly company is the Hong Kong studio KaCaMa Design and their soft plastic PP Capsule poufs. In Ukraine, sorting of household waste is stillis at the stage of active implementation. The huge potential for preserving natural resources lies precisely in the recycling of waste and its reuse, including as an alternative source of fuel. Unfortunately, domestic residents are often too lazy to collect garbage and throw it into different containers, although in many European countries residents approach this issue very seriously and scrupulously. Plastic PP Capsule poufs make it possible to use a huge number of plastic bottle caps. After all, as a rule, recycling plants require unscrewing bottle caps before accepting them for further processing. So the designers decided to make filler for upholstered furniture from these caps. About 4,000 caps were crushed on a special shredder for one pouf! Now imagine the possibilities of using such filler!Soft plastic poufs have a truncated shapepyramids — the base is slightly wider than the seat for better stability. The upper bright cover is sewn from dense knitted fabric of different colors, and the lower cover, where the plastic filler is directly poured, is made of translucent synthetic dense mesh. The bright "confetti" of the filler is visible through the material, which creates its own unique pattern.
