How to create a gerbera flower from beads in the technique of parallel weaving, step by step photos and description
Would you like to express your warmest and most sincerefeelings and admiration to someone? Give him a gerbera. Large bright flowers with petals similar to sunbeams and a delicate caramel aroma will definitely appeal to their modesty and artless beauty. According to one legend, a nymph named Gerbera was so beautiful that she conquered both young men and women with her beauty. Close and obsessive attention bored and tired the beauty, and she turned into a modest flower. This wonderful flower has, in addition to simple beauty, another amazing property - it can stand in a vase of water for almost 2 weeks without the slightest sign of wilting. At the same time, you can not pick a live gerbera, but make it with your own hands, then the flower will serve you as an interior decoration or an original gift for much longer. In this article, we suggest weaving a gerbera from beads. Bright rainbow pieces will be an excellent material for conveying the shades of a living flower, as modern manufacturers produce beads of various colors. The main requirement for it will be its quality, or rather calibration. The better it is, the more accurately the beads are selected by size, the neater the finished product will be.To weave one flower you will need:
- Beads 11/0 (orange, yellow and green), if desired, you can take pink, white or any other color that you like;
- Wireworm 0.3 mm
- Threads of green color and glue PVA (you can use a floral tape).
First we need to make the coreflower with fringe. Let's start with green beads. We string 2 beads on a 120 cm long piece of wire. Then 2 more and cross the wire tails in them. Now we will weave in circles. For the first circle, string 6 beads on each wire tail and thread the opposite tails through them. That is, we thread the left tail through the beads of the right tail and vice versa. For the second, string 10 beads. When weaving the next circle, we will begin to make needles. They form a fringe. Weave from green and yellow beads. We string 1 green and 2 yellow beads on one wire tail. Now we thread the wire tail through the first yellow bead in the opposite direction. Move the wire to the circle and tighten. We get a small yellow needle. Now we need to make 8 more of these needles (see photo) on this wire tail. Pass the second wire end through the green beads of the needles. We got half a circle. We weave the second half on the same tail as the first, in the same way. Again, pass the second end of the wire through the green beads. Now we have a full circle with needles. In order to conveniently weave the next circle, bend the needles upward. We make the fourth circle similarly to the third, but we weave it on the second end of the wire to equalize their length. Bend the needles upward again. It remains to twist the wire tails as shown in the photo and the core is ready.We will weave the gerbera petals in paralleltechnique. The number of beads in the rows is as follows: 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 (2) - 6 (4) - 5 (2) - 4 - 3 (2). The numbers in brackets indicate the number of rows that need to be woven with the specified number of beads. After the petal is woven, twist the ends of the wire. For one gerbera, you will need 24 petals. The last step remains. Assembly. Take a piece of wire about 60 cm long and thread it through the last row of petals. Move them to the center of the wire and form a circle. We will have 2 circles with 12 petals. Now take the core and insert it into the hole of the first circle. Twist the wire tails. Insert the resulting workpiece into the second circle of petals. Turn it over so that the front side is away from you. In front of us are the wire tails of the petals. You need to string 7 green beads on them. We string another 7 beads on the wire tail, which is made from an additional piece of wire that connects the petals together in a circle. Now you need to arrange the circles so that the petals go in a checkerboard pattern. Move the strings of green beads as close to the petals as possible and twist all the wire tails into 1. Wrap the stem of the flor with a ribbon or thread. In the second case, you will need to glue the beginning and end of the work so that the threads do not crumble.Gerbera is ready to decorate your interior.
