How to make an unusual lamp shade from waxed paper at home, tips for making.

From a variety of the most ordinary things you canto make very beautiful and unique things. And this article will talk about how to make an original lampshade from ordinary wax paper, which will bring tenderness, lightness and romance to your room. Wax paper is a special paper impregnated with wax. It is used in baking, as well as in medicine. It will serve as the main material in our work. To make such an original interior element, you need to prepare a certain set of materials and tools, including a frame for the future lamp (for this you can use a metal grill for hot, a fan grill or 3 wooden rings of different diameters), paint (necessarily white), satin ribbon or white cotton thread, waxed and parchment paper, iron, glue gun, light bulb, circular paper knife or cutter and other auxiliary tools. Now let's start making. First, you need to paint the frame of the future lampshade with paint and leave it for a while to dry. If you decide to make a frame from circles, then, after drying, you will need to hang them on a fishing line in the order shown in the photo. Start making the material for the future petals. Put a sheet of parchment. On top of it, place at least three sheets of waxed paper (for strength) and one layer of parchment on top. This structure should be ironed. Due to the high temperature, the wax will melt and glue all the layers of paper together. After that, remove the parchment. Now cut out identical circles from the resulting paper. For convenience, you can use a cutter or a compass knife. The diameter of such circles should be about 5-6 cm, and their number will depend on the size of your lampshade frame. The finished circles will be attached to the lampshade with ribbons or cotton thread. Prepare ribbons of different lengths to create the same cascade effect as in the photo. Attach the ribbon threads to the frame using a glue gun or simply tie them. Now comes the most crucial moment: you need to glue the white paper petals to the ribbons. To do this, squeeze out drops of hot glue onto the ribbons and glue the paper circles. They can be placed next to each other or glued slightly overlapping. Glue the white petals to the places where the ribbons are attached to the frame to hide the attachment points and give the lampshade a more aesthetic look. When the glue is completely dry, screw a light bulb into the finished lampshade and hang it in a suitable place. As a result, your work should turn out such beauty. It will look very original and, for sure, your work will not go unnoticed.
