How to make an unusual lamp shade from waxed paper at home, tips for making.

Of the most common things you canto build very beautiful and unique things. And in this article we will talk about how to make an original shade from ordinary waxed paper, which will bring into your room tenderness, lightness and romance. Waxed paper is called a special paper soaked in wax. It is used in baking, as well as in medicine. It will serve as the main material in our work. To make such an original element of the interior, you need to prepare a certain set of materials and tools, including a frame for the future lamp (for this you can use a metal grill for hot, a fan grill or 3 wooden rings of different diameters), paint (necessarily white), satin ribbon or cotton a white thread, waxed and parchment paper, an iron, an adhesive gun, a light bulb, a circular paper knife or a cutter and other auxiliary tools. Now proceed to manufacture. First you need to paint the skeleton of the future lamp shade with paint and leave it for a while to dry. If you decide to make a framework of circles, then, after drying, they will need to be hung on the line in the same sequence as in the photo. Proceed to the manufacture of material for future petals. Put a sheet of parchment. On top of it place at least three sheets of waxed paper (for strength) and one layer of parchment on top. This design should be ironed with iron. Thanks to the high temperature, the wax will melt and glue together all the layers of paper. Then remove the parchment. Now cut out the same circles from the resulting paper. For convenience, you can use a cutter or a circular knife. The diameter of such circles should be about 5-6 cm, and their number will depend on the size of your skeleton for the shade. Ready mugs will be attached to the lampshade with ribbons or cotton thread. Prepare ribbons of different lengths to get the same cascade effect as in the photo. Attach the strands from the tapes to the frame using an adhesive gun, or simply tie them. Now comes the most crucial moment: you need to glue the white petals from the paper to the tapes. To do this, you need to squeeze droplets of hot glue onto the tapes and glue paper circles. They can be placed next to each other or glued slightly overlap. Paint with white petals and those places where the tapes are attached to the frame to hide the attachment points and give the lampshade a more aesthetic appearance. When the glue is completely dry, screw a light bulb into the ready lampshade and hang it in a suitable place. As a result of your work, you should get such beauty. It will look very original and, for sure, your work will not go unnoticed.
