How to make a gift in the form of an original book-hiding by yourself, detailed instructions.
How often do we face the problem of choicegift for a loved one. After all, you want to give something necessary, useful and original. In this article we will try to combine two old sayings: "A gift made by oneself is the best" and "A book is the best gift." A very original present should come out of the book, and most importantly - useful and functional. In the course of your work, the book should turn into an original secret, where you can always hide something. And if you decorate the cover in addition, you can get an original element that will serve as an additional decoration of your interior. In addition, such a souvenir does not require any expenses. 
To complete this work, prepare a booksuitable size, PVA glue, water, scissors, knife, brush, ruler, pencil, needle and thread, thick fabric (suede or leatherette), tape, fastener and small capacity. The first thing you need to choose a suitable book. As you know, it should not be of much value to you. Find one so that the cover is firm and solid, and the book itself is thick. If you do not plan to decorate the cover, pick up the cover as unobtrusive as possible. it will not attract additional attention. Naturally, this is more of a playful souvenir, but, nevertheless, getting it will be fun and interesting. So, mow in the closet or in the commission and choose a book with yellowed pages that will give the gift more charm and originality. Dilute PVA glue with water. The proportion of the glue with the liquid is about 1: 2 or 1: 3. The mixture will become more watery and pages will be soaked with it. Moisten the brush in the glue solution and pat the back cover from the inside. Attach the last sheet of paper to its surface. Make sure that it is as flat as possible and there are no air bubbles. You can use the ruler to remove them. 
In the same way, glue all the otherspages, leaving a small part of them on top. The sheets that have not been pasted will serve as a cover for the hiding place. It is enough to apply glue only on the perimeter of the pages (2-3 cm deep on each side). Of course, this occupation is a bit boring, you can stretch it for a couple of evenings, combining it with watching your favorite movie. When all the work is ready and all the necessary pages are glued together, put some heavy object on top for a better effect. But before that it is better to cover the book with an old newspaper so as not to spoil the cover. 
When the book dries, make a markup. Straighten straight lines, retreating about 3 cm from the edge. 
With the help of a clerical knife, cut the pages along the drawn lines. 
To make the incisions more smooth, use a ruler. Then coat the edges of the "pocket" with the adhesive solution. So they will be more smoothed. 
Use the nearest free page to hide the glued edges. Do it on the cuts diagonally and curl it in such a way as to hide the sloppy stenochki. 
If you planned to make a real bookhiding place, you can stop at this. In the case of making this presentation, you need to decorate the cover, which will give the presentation uniqueness and originality. Decorate the cover For the decor of the cover you should choose the most suitable material. The skin can be too rough and it is problematic to stitch it. Therefore, this version of the cover implies the use of suede. It is necessary to sew pieces of this matter with thick strands of contrasting shade and adjust to the size of the cover. Elements of decor choose at your discretion. Use different buttons, ribbons, appliques, etc. To the back of the cover you need to sew a suede ribbon. Its width should be about 3 cm. The tape will serve as a clasp, make sure that the length is slightly more than the thickness of the book. Decorate it in the same style as the cover itself. Treat with stitching stitches. They will look very beautiful. On one end of the suede strip, a metal button should be sewn. The second part of the button is sewn to the front of the cover. 
Now you need to glue the cover to the surfacebooks. Do this work with a glue gun. Seal the cover gradually, grabbing small patches. This is done because the glue freezes quickly enough.
