Stools – buttons from Bozu

In the house of the fairy-tale heroine Thumbelina there are chairs, were probably made of small buttons. Italian designers Davide Bonanni and Michael Breschi developed Bottone stools for the Bozu design studio. The seat of each stool is made in the form of a button, sewn crosswise to the surface. The design of the Bottone series is simple but original. An ordinary thing, a classic button with four holes, became the central element and highlight of the chairs. I even thought about how the designer was once buttoning a shirt and thought: “hmm! This could make for interesting furniture!” And it worked!
