The image of the cockerel can be made quite simply (especially it will be for very young children who do not need plausible costumes): wear a yellow or white t-shirt and red pants with suspenders, plus - use only the characteristic elements, for example, sew a scallop and a beak to a cap, add a bright collar or cuffs to the blouse, decorate the panties or sleeves with sequins, etc. If you need to oimi hands make a carnival costume for a boy a little older, then it will be necessary, and pattern, and the fabric of different colors, and all kinds of fittings or accessories.

And if you tie a large round bow around your neck (it's better to take a shiny cloth), you get a real bearded cockerel. On a turtleneck or T-shirt (only with long sleeves), you can attach a front shirt with feathers - it will play the role of a breast. To do this, you need to cut out the oval from the fabric, and to make denticles on its edging (they will also simulate feathers), and then sew a lot of multicolored patches (cut them in the form of droplets). From a large semicircle, you can make a chic duckling in the same way, sewing it to a blouse in your hands (also to embroider with feathers, by the way, it can be one with a hood - a headdress). If you do not want a cape, cut out feathers from the template cloth of different colors and sew them in checkerboard pattern, starting from the shoulder. Tune many feathers in several rows to give the costume brightness and variegated.
Bottoms can be trousers, trousers or evenshorts. It's good if the pants are slightly below the knee. Decorate the bottom with denticles or wash the same feathers as on your hands, so that the carnival costume looks harmonious. As feathers for the top and bottom, you can use many different colored frills flounces of scraps of artificial silk or satin ribbons.
