A table or a toy? Marbelous from Ontwerpduo

The world of furniture for adults and children's world of toys, seem to be incompatible. But we all remember how in childhood it was exciting to unite these two worlds, make chairs from the chairs, and from the tables - fortresses. I used carved furniture from my grandmother as a magic country for my dolls. Here, with this thought and feeling, the designers created a new piece of furniture, a child and an adult at the same time. The ordinary dining table made of maple is equipped with an unusual carving both on the table top and on the legs with a central crossbar. With this decorative decoration you can play! Small metal balls are includedtogether with the table and stored under the countertop in a wooden chest. Running them on the surface of the table in the thread, you can observe how they pass through a multitude of labyrinths, bends and spirals on their way down. This original table in 2008 won several nominations in design competitions and became an excellent example of a harmonious combination of playfulness and seriousness, adult and child.
