Table without legs: hardy tablecloth
How do you like to make a knitted or textile tablecloth a full table, but only without a real table? The tablecloth will fulfill both roles: furniture and coverings. And help in this ... glue or resin! 
Well coated with glue or resin tableclothput on a smeared with something greasy table and allow to dry. The tablecloth will take the form of a table and will be stiff enough to stand alone and still hold the weight of several objects. Of course, to cover a full dinner for a few people will not work, but a glass of wine with a piece of pie can be drunk at such a ghostly table.
