It should be remembered that work on a church image requires maximum attention, patience, skills and preparation. Among the many images embroidered with beads on a fabric base, icon embroidery deserves special attention. Beads are a fertile material that allows you to create real masterpieces of art. There are different techniques of embroidery and seams (in most cases, arched is used). But it is the technique of embroidering an icon with beads that deserves special attention and respect, which we will talk about in our article.
Before you start working,you should set a clear goal for yourself, what exactly do you want to see in the end. If this is a regular, unique drawing of the face of saints or any other image on the theme of the church in the form of a beautiful picture, "secular" embroidery, then it will be appropriate to use different colors and shades, an arched stitch. But, if we still want to embroider an icon, a church image, then it is necessary to take into account all the rules.

- The face is made with facial sewing, all other parts, in particular the vestments, are embroidered with beads. This method also uses a paper icon.
- The icon (in its entirety) is cross-stitched according to the counting scheme. It should be remembered that this technique of beadwork of icons is not canonical.
