Thermomosaic "Rooster" with the scheme

This rather large figure will further decorate a box, a postcard or a chocolate wrapper for a gift.

thermomosaic (in our case - Ikea) of red, yellow, green, brown, orange and black colors; tablet-square with pins with the location “one under the other” (not a checkerboard); tracing paper; iron.

How to make a rooster out of thermomosaic

According to the proposed scheme, on the square plateau with the desired location of the pins, we lay out an image of a rooster with beads of thermomosaic. Gently cover the laid out drawing sheettracing paper or baking paper. Heat the iron to the maximum and iron the drawing (or rather, put the iron on top, trying to immediately cover the entire image with the device's base), then examine it, determining how well the melting process has gone. The beads must be interlocked. Here it is important to catch the moment: if you do not finish it, the toy can crumble when carelessly handling. But the drawing will be beautiful, and the beads will be whole (from the front of the toy), even. If you melt, the image can be deformed (this is visible on the right of the cock in the paired photo), but the plate-drawing will be fused reliably. After fusion, do not rush to remove tracing paper. Better to put a thick book on top of it: as such, the picture should cool down. The book will serve as a press that will not allow the finished toy, a rooster from a thermomosaic, to arch. And when the rooster cools down, remove the book and gently separate the tracing paper. Rooster ready! It can be used as a pendant (skip over a bead or glue a loop) or stick to a stick, which can then be stuck in a flower pot.
