This detailed master class with photo and description will teach how to create with your own hands a set of jewelry made of polymer clay - a pendant and earrings with a turtle.
To create jewelry from polymer clayhands you will need: To work you will need: - Roller - Polymer clay white and blue color - Pendants in the form of turtles (or any others) - Shvenzy - Circle cutters (standard set, diameters 1.5: 2.5: 4 cm) - Blade for the assembly (2 pcs diameter 7-8 mm, 2 pcs diameter 4-5 mm, 1 pc diameter 8-10 mm, reinforced) - Glass / cup or large round cutter - Tool for assembling jewelry - round pliers - Glossy varnish - Cable with lock for pendant - Sandpaper
We knead and roll out the white and blue plastics. We form rectangular layers of small thickness from them.
We put the layers on each other, tightly roll with a rolling pin.
We cut the blade in half with the blade.
We stack the layers on top of each other so that the cut turns out to be "striped".
On both sides, the resulting layer is rolled out with a rolling pin to make it thinner.
Cut it in the middle into two equal parts.
Again, the halves are stacked on top of each other, so that the cut is "striped" on the cut.
We roll the received element so that the layers are properly glued together. After this, we make several lateral sections.
We knead and roll out another small piece of white plastic. Roll out thinly, this will be the basis for earrings.
Spread the slices on the white plastic to get a striped pattern.
Roll the strips to a delicate state, make sure that the banding is not broken. It is necessary to roll out to such a size that a cutter with a diameter of 4 cm fit on the plastic at least four times.
We cut off a piece of a thin layer with a blade, in shapeslightly more than a four-centimeter cutter. Cutter put the sharp side up, and put the layer on the cutter striped side down. Fingers gently push on the center of the plastic, to get a small groove.
When the plastic slightly adheres to the edges of the cutter, turn it over and put it on the white part of the striped layer. Press.
We get a three-dimensional element.
Repeat for the second item.
You should get two identical strips, the size and volume of the element.
Now the smallest cutter in the center inthe top half of each volumetric element we give a round hole. If it seems that "everything is about to burst", then a small cut is made with the blade in the part of the element to be cut out, and then, as the pressure is pushed, extra air will escape from this hole.
We take out the cutter and get this element.
We repeat the process.
In each element in the thinnest part, make a hole with a toothpick.
Roll out the plastic of white or blue inlayer thickness of 3-5 mm. (We use what plastic is left, we can mix the remainders (except for the element with striped sections!), This plastic will be used for the base).
We cut striped sections from the remains.
We spread the strips on the blue plastic, tightly press them. Between the strips there should be no gaps. The strips must not overlap each other.
Roll the stripes into the formation.
As a result, the layer should be no less than 2 mm in thickness.
In terms of size, two diameters of the glass should fit in the seam.
When all conditions are met (width, thickness), cut the plastic into two parts.
Cover the glass with striped plastic, the strips look down. Fingers form a groove.
Cover the glass with plastic second layer, the strips look up. At the edges of the glass we press our fingers, "pulling" the top layer. It is necessary to blend both layers so that there is more air inside the element.
We turn the construction. A glass, like a cutter, cut out a large circle.
We get a large volume element.
In it, you need to cut a hole. We use a cutter with a diameter of 2.5 cm.
We get a large volumetric pendant.
We make a hole in the thin part with a toothpick.
We send bake. Do not exceed the baking temperature indicated on the plastic packaging that you are working with. After baking, we prepare for processing and assembling the kit.
If the edges of the elements are uneven, grind them about the sandpaper.
After grinding, remove the dust and coat the elements with varnish.
When the elements are dry, you can collect earrings. For each earring, an element of plastic, a suspension, a schwenze, a ring with a diameter of 6-7 mm and a ring with a diameter of 4-5 mm are required.
Push a large ring and insert it into the plastic element.
On the same ring put on the suspension.
Clamp the ring and repeat for the second earring.
We spread out a small ring and hang a shvenza on it.
On the ring with a schwenze we hang an element with a suspension bracket, we tighten a ringlet.
Repeat with the second earring and get the sweetest earrings with a "sea" mood.
We extend the "strengthened" ring.
We put on it a suspension bracket and we insert it in a pendant from the inside.
On the reverse side of the pendant we also insert a finished cable with a lock.
The set is ready!
