This master class on crocheted toys will teach you how to create a crochet toy – crow
In this master class we will crochet our crow. Our crow will be a cheerful and kind bird. And most importantly – silent!To knit a crow we will need:
- yarn black, yellow and peach;
- crochet hook;
- filler (sintepon);
- beads;
- PVA glue;
- needle.
We will start knitting the crow from the beak.And we will knit it yellow. We make two loops and in the second we knit six columns of the first row. We will knit one row without adding. And then in three rows we need to expand the knitting and knit three increases.We knit another row and then change the thread toblack. By the way, it is not necessary to knit a black crow. You can knit it in blue or any other dark color. It will look good too. In the first black row we make an increase in every third stitch. And we knit the same row again with the same increases. Next we knit increases in every fifth loop. We will knit two rows without additions. And in four rows we will decrease six loops. And then we will perform decreases in each loop and tighten. While we are knitting, the toy needs to be filled with padding polyester or other filler. It is better to stuff it more tightly so that it does not wrinkle and keeps its shape.
Now we will knit the body of the crow.We make the initial loop and another one. We will knit the first six columns into the initial one. And then we make six additions in a row. In total, with increases, we knit four rows. We expanded the knitting to thirty stitches. Next we knit two more rows without changes. That is, we will not add more here. Let's make six decreases and knit a row. Next we will make two decreases. Now there are two more in another row. Let's knit a row. And in the next two we will make two decreases. We will have ten loops left.
Let's move on to knitting the legs.They will be peach colored. Can be made light pink. First we knit the fingers. There are only three of them. And they knit the same way. We make four air loops and connect. We knit two rows in the round. Knitting fingers will be very inconvenient, but it's quick. And our knitting will go inside, as it were. That is, as if we were knitting on the wrong side. We simply place the hook on top and knit it. It is more comfortable. But in a toy it won’t be noticeable. And the foot itself will be knitted from six stitches connected into a ring. And here we knit not two, but four rows. Sew the fingers to the main part of the paw. You can insert a wire inside the foot. Then the crow will be able to stand on its own without any supports.
Now we knit the wings for the bird.To do this, we knit four single crochets in the initial loop. Turn the knitting and make increases in each of the four loops in the opposite direction. We will get eight loops. Let's turn it around again and knit a row with four increases in the opposite direction. And one more row with four increases. We will get a semicircle consisting of fifteen columns.
Now let's tie the feathers.Without tearing the thread from the wing, we make four aerial ones. And knit in single crochet columns. At the base we skip one loop and knit a single crochet. And we need to make three more such feathers. That is, we make air stitches again and knit them.
All that remains is to sew on all the details.It is more convenient to sew on the head first, then the legs and then the wings. After the toy is assembled, we embroider a strip separating the beak. Glue on the eyes. We also collect beads on a string. And we put them on the crow’s neck. This is such a cheerful and elegant crow!
