This master class of soft toys will teach crochet teddy bear Amigurumi
Looking at these plush animals, it’s simply impossible to hold back a smile! To create a teddy bear you will need the following materials and tools:
- yarn of yellow and white colors (“Children's novelty (Pekhorka)” - 100% acrylic (200 m in 50 g),
- a little black yarn,
- hook number 3,
- scissors,
- sewing needle,
- eyes or beads,
- 4 buttons for attaching limbs,
- sintepon or holofayber as a filler.
All parts of the toy are knitted separately, using columns.without a yarn over (hereinafter st.) in a spiral, and then sewn together. Use a contrasting thread or a marker to mark the beginning of a row. Knitting all parts of the bear begins with a sliding loop and ends with a slip stitch. First, we will knit the head with yellow yarn. We make a sliding loop and knit 6 single crochet stitches into it. In the next row, we make an increase in each loop, knitting 2 stitches. In the 3rd row, we make an increase (hereinafter inc.) through 1 loop, in a circle we get 18 loops (hereinafter st.). In the 4th row, we make inc. through 2 loops, we get 24 sts. In the 5th row, we make inc. through 3 loops, we get 30 sts. In the 6th row, we make inc. through 4 loops, we get 36 sts. In the 7th row, we make inc. through 6 loops, we get 42 sts. From rows 8 to 14 (7 rows) knit 42 sts.in a circle without changes. From the 15th row, make decreases (hereinafter dec.), knitting 2 loops together. Alternate 5 st. and 1 dec. 6 times - we get 36 sts. In the 16th row, alternate 4 st. and 1 dec. - 30 sts. In the 17th row, alternate 3 st. and 1 dec. - 24 sts. In the 18th row, alternate 2 st. and 1 dec. - 18 loops.
The bear's head is ready. It should be tightly stuffed with filler. Let's move on to knitting the body. We also use yellow yarn. From the 1st to the 7th row, the body is knitted exactly like the head. As a result of increases in the circle, we got 42 sts. From the 8th to the 11th row (4 rows), we knit 42 sts.
In the 12th row, alternate 5 sts and 1 dec.– we get 36 loops. Rows 13 and 14 are 36 sts each. At the beginning of row 15, we make 6 decreases in a row, then knit 24 sts – we get 30 sts. The decreases of this row form a kind of teddy bear belly. This side will be the front part of the body.
In the 16th row we make a dec every 3 sts.– 24 sts. From rows 17 to 20 (4 rows), knit 24 sts. In row 18, dec every 2 sts. – 18 sts. Knitting the body is finished. Leave a thread for sewing the head and body.
Fill it with stuffing. Now knit the lower paws. Start working with white yarn. Knit rows 1 through 5 in the same way as the head. Get 30 sts.
Rows 6 and 7 contain 30 sts each.At the end of the 7th row, change the thread to yellow. In the 8th row, make 6 dec in a row and knit 18 sts – you get 24 sts. The front part of the leg is formed. The 9th row is 24 sts. In the 10th row, alternate dec every 2 sts – 18 sts.
From rows 11 to 17 (7 rows) knit 18 sts.without changes. In the 18th row, you should make a dec. through each loop - 12 sts. In the 19th row, knit 12 sts in a circle. Now we stuff the paw with padding polyester. The lower part is denser.
Row 20 consists of 6 decreases. And we continue to do them until the hole is completely closed. We hide the thread and cut it. At the bottom of the paw, you can make 2 tightenings and form the fingers.
The second paw should be knitted in exactly the same way.Knitting of the upper paws begins with white yarn. From the 1st to the 3rd row, the knitting pattern is similar to the head pattern. It turns out 18 sts in a circle. Knit the 4th and 5th rows without changes, 18 sts each. In the 6th row, make 3 dec at once, and then 12 sts. It turns out 15 sts.
From 7 to 9 (3 rows) knit 15 sts in a circle. In the 10th row, make a dec. every 3 loops – 12 sts. From 11 to 13 rows (3 rows), knit 12 sts in a circle. Fill the piece with padding polyester.
Row 13 consists of decreases (6), which we do before closing the hole. We form fingers.
We knit the second upper leg in the same way.
Let's move on to knitting the ears. In a slip stitch, cast on 8 sts and close them into a semicircle. Turn the future ear over and knit 2 air loops for lifting, 3 sts, increase, 4 sts - 10 loops.
Turn and knit: 2 air loops, 4 sts, increase, 4 sts. The eye is ready. Leave the thread for sewing.
From white yarn you can knit a white inner insert consisting of 2 circular rows. Sew the inserts to the ears with white thread.
The bear's face is knitted with white yarn andconsists of 4-5 circular rows. It can be knitted with thinner yarn. And finally, the tail. Row 1 - knit 6 sts in a slip loop. Row 2 - 6 pcs. - 12 sts. Row 3 - 12 sts. All body parts are knitted.
Let's start assembling. We make a small tightening on the head and fix the eyes. Or we sew large beads into the recesses.
We attach the head to the body. Don't forget that the bear has a small belly in front.
Sew on the muzzle, filling it lightly with stuffing.
Before sewing on the ears, find a comfortable position for them.
Now we need to secure the paws so that they canmove. First, sew on the lower legs. Prepare a double thread of yellow color. Insert it from right to left into the lower part of the body, securing one of the paws to it. Leave 2 threads 6-7 cm long at the insertion point.
Now we turn the needle and thread around and return it to the insertion point, pulling it through the paw and body to the same point.
We pull the two remaining ends and tie a knot. We cut off the ends.
Attach the second paw – make sure the legs are symmetrical and touch each other at the bottom. Pull, make a stitch (or use a button).
And we bring the thread out from the opposite side between the paw and the body. We cut the threads right under the needle, tighten them and tie a strong knot. We cut off the ends.
The lower paws are secured. We sew the upper paws using the same pattern.
Thanks to this connection of the paws, they becomemovable. The figure of our bear has already taken shape. It remains to sew on the tail. At the same time, you can make a belly button for the bear. We insert the yellow thread from the back to the place where the tail will be and bring it out in front in the navel area. We make a small stitch and return the thread to the starting point.
Pull it a little and tie a knot. Cut off the ends and sew the tail on this place, lightly stuffing it with filler.
We embroider the bear's nose and mouth. We make a small hairstyle on the top of the head. Our sunny bear is ready!
He can sit.
And even stand on your own!
The height of the yellow bear is 18 cm, and the brown one is 21 cm. It is crocheted from thicker yarn with hook No. 3.5. These are such cute bears!
