This master class will teach you how to sew slippers with your own hands with the symbol of the year – a monkey.
For the cold season, warm slippers are essential; for special “freezing conditions” they are essential. We can recommend sewing slippers like UGG boots or felt boots.
For this craft you will need a warmmaterial in two shades – brown and lilac (for example, felt), dense material for the sole, such as leather, thread, needle, scissors, buttons for finishing, sewing machine. You can make such a cozy little thing from an old autumn coat, for example, then it will find a new life, and you will save on purchasing slippers!
These slippers do not require a particularly complex cut. Outline the foot, add small seam allowances and cut out the leather sole parts.
Boot tops – 2 rectangles of the required width and height (for two slippers you need 4 parts).
The toe part of the slippers – cut to shapecut oval, length equal to the length from the tips of the fingers to the shin. The width of the piece is measured by the width of the foot, excluding the width of the foot. But, of course, cut with reserve – house shoes should be comfortable and convenient. Slightly smaller pieces should also be cut out of lilac fabric – you will use them to make the lining. In addition, immediately cut out 8 ear parts and 4 tail parts – They will need to be sewn into place, having first sewn them together in pairs.
After cutting, start sewing.First, sew the parts of the boot tops and sew the toe part of the slippers to them. During the process, don’t forget to sew the monkey’s ears and tail back into place. They can be sewn on top, but sewn in they will be neater.
Next, cut out the lilac oval parts that will be the monkey's face. Embroider the monkey's nose and mouth on these pieces using a zigzag stitch. And then sew these parts into place.
When the main brown parts of the slippers are ready, sew the sole to them, turning the product inside out.
Similarly, sew together lilacdetails for lining. Insert them into the slippers with the soft side inside the product – to the leg. This will make the slippers more comfortable to wear. Along the tops of the tops, sew together the main and lining parts of the slippers. Now we just have to figure out what the eyes will look like. Sew two balls of white material and stuff them with padding polyester. Cut out a strip of lilac material and sew “eyelids” for the monkey. To make the eyes more expressive, sew one seam between them to “separate” the eyes. eyes. And the final touch – sew buttons as the iris and pupil.
