This master class will tell you how to make a card-scrapbooking yourself.
In our case, the card will be made in a marine theme. To decorate it, you will need cardboard or thick scrapbooking paper and several types of napkins for decoupage.When buying scrapbooking paper, choose one with a corresponding thematic pattern; it will be a ready-made background and will reduce your work. For work you will need:
- cardboard, or scrapbooking paper;
- thin foam rubber (you can use a cushioning material for household appliances);
- PVA glue;
- brushes of different widths;
- napkins with a beautiful pattern for decoupage;
- hole puncher;
- Glue gun;
- decorative elements - braid, buttons, chains, cords
Work sequence: Prepare a 28x20 cm postcard blank from cardboard. Mark the middle for the fold. Draw a circle with a diameter of 7 cm in the middle on the left half of the blank.Separate from the napkin that will bethe main background of the card, the top layer with the picture. Spray it with a spray bottle and smooth it with a warm iron. Cover the outer side of the card with PVA glue with a wide brush and stick the main napkin, let it dry.While the card is drying, cut a circle out of foam rubber.diameter of 9 cm. Cut out an inner circle with a diameter of 6 cm with manicure scissors. This will be the blank for the lifebuoy. Next, wrap the blank in three places with red tape, securing the tape from the inside with needles.Sew the entire circumference with simple stitches. Tie the twisted cord.Glue additional elements from other napkins to the card, having cut them out beforehand. Important! The main background must be absolutely dry. We chose a stylized image of a boat.Place decorative elements on the card for subsequent gluing. Try several options until you find the best one.Use a glue gun to "assemble"composition: glue the life preserver to the outside of the card on a pre-cut circle. The difference in diameters will hide the edges of the slit. Important! Apply hot glue not to the foam rubber, but to the card, and only then glue the blank, otherwise the foam rubber will melt. Then, using the drip method, attach the cord, chain, and fittings. Make two slits on the inside of the card for the photo. If desired, add pictures or decor. Fold the card in half, punch both sides at once with a hole punch. Thread the cord or ribbon through, tie.Having prepared a greeting card with your own hands, you can be sure that the hero of the occasion will definitely remember and save it.
