This master class will tell you how to make a New Year tree with your own hands from the test
Salt dough is a plastic material,allowing you to bring to life the most varied fantasies. Children especially love to mess around with salt dough. And it is from this material that my son and I are making a Christmas tree today.I prepared the salt dough in advance –the day before. This is necessary so that during the resting time it becomes highly plastic. To prepare the dough, you need to mix half a glass of salt (finely ground), a glass of flour, a tablespoon of starch and a little more than half a glass of water - 125 ml. The dough is kneaded for a long time until it becomes elastic. The next day we took up the Christmas tree. To prevent our New Year's beauty from falling, we took the base of an old pyramid as a frame. In addition, to create and decorate the Christmas tree we needed:
- rolling pin;
- knife for cutting dough and round shapes of different sizes;
- garland;
- paints and brushes for drawing.
First, we rolled out the dough with a rolling pin to a thicknessabout 0.5-0.7 cm and cut out circles of different diameters. Then, using a knife, add teeth around the circumference to imitate spruce branches. The next step is to put the layers on the base, starting with the largest one. Even a child can handle this if you cut the centers with a knife in advance. When the tree is assembled, you need to slightly raise the cut teeth to improve the appearance. Then we will start decorating the tree - we will wrap it with a garland, decorate it with balls and put a star made of dough on the top. After this, the tree needs to dry. The next day, you can start painting our tree. The main color is green, and you can choose the brightest shades for the star and balls. This is the tree we got - it may not be the most beautiful, but the child is proud that he had a hand in its creation!
