Salted dough is a plastic material that allowsto implement a variety of fantasies. Particularly fond of messing with the salty batter children. And it is from this material that my son and I are making a Christmas tree today. I made a salty dough in advance - the day before. It is necessary that during the veneer it acquires a high plasticity. In order to prepare the dough, you need to mix half a glass of salt (fine grind), a glass of flour, a tablespoon of starch and a little more than half a glass of water - 125 ml. The dough is kneaded for a long time, until it becomes elastic. The next day we took the herringbone. To our New Year's beauty did not fall, as a framework we took the foundation from the old pyramid. In addition, to create and decorate the Christmas tree, it took us:
- rolling pin;
- knife for cutting dough and round shapes of different sizes;
- paints and brushes for drawing.
To begin with, we rolled a dough roll with a rolling pinabout 0.5-0.7 cm and cut out circles of various diameters. Then with a knife, along the circumference, denticles were added to mimic the fir branches. The next step is to plant layers on the foundation, starting with the largest one. With this, and the child, if you pre-cut with a knife in the middle. When the Christmas tree is assembled - to improve the appearance you need to slightly raise the cut out denticles. Then we proceed to decorate the Christmas tree - wrap it with a garland, decorate the balls and put a star from the dough on the vertex. After this, the Christmas tree needs to dry out. The next day you can start painting our Christmas tree. The main color is green, and for the star and balls you can choose the brightest shades. Such here at us the herringbone has turned out - can and not the most beautiful, but the child is proud of that has put hands to its creation!
