This master class will teach you how to make your own tea house and how to decorate it in the style of decoupage.
It is better to select the design and color of the craft to match the dishes so that it complements the kitchen set.To work you will need:
- white cardboard;
- napkins for decoupage;
- scissors;
- PVA glue;
- sheet music sheets;
- brush for glue;
- large stapler;
- a box from the tea bag;
- decorative elements for decoration;
- scissors.
Sequence of work: 1. Transform a tea box in the following way: cut off the lid, cover the box with music sheets on the outside and inside.2. Print out the teapot template.3. Trace the template and cut out 2 teapot blanks.4. Cover both teapot blanks on one side with music sheets. These will be the inner walls of the tea house.5.Using a large stapler, attach the teapot blanks to the side planes of the box in several places so that the unpasted sides of the teapots are facing outward. The staples will later be hidden by decoupage napkins. 6.Start decoupaging one side of the tea house. We chose a musical theme for the sample, so the teapot motif will support it: a violin against a background of aged notes. 7. First, separate the top layer of the napkin from the inner layers without a pattern.8. Apply PVA glue with a brush over the entire surface of the teapot. Then carefully glue the napkin to the wet surface. Important: apply glue only to the base, not to the napkin.9. Use scissors to trim the edges of the image. After drying, cover the craft with a layer of PVA glue.10.Due to the fact that the napkins become translucent when glued, you can combine several napkins, cutting out image elements from them and composing a composition on the surface of the product. 11. If desired, glue or sew decorative elements. 12. Fill the house with tea bags of different types. For an example, we made the second side of the tea house in a romantic style: we used a napkin with an image of an aged rose, and glued a medallion with a bead in place of the lid holder. You can also make a house in the Provence or country style, choosing suitable napkins or decoupage cards.
