This master class will teach you how to make a card with your own hands in the style of ayris folding.
The most important thing in work is usespecial schemes that need to be printed out in advance. In addition, some craftsmen can make such schemes themselves. This technique is not as complicated as it may seem at first glance.
To make a postcard you will only needa sheet of yellow cardboard, 3-4 types of designer thick paper, rhinestones, a small piece of yellow ribbon. All these materials are easy to buy at any office supply store. You can download a ready-made template for laying out the drawing below. Materials for making a postcard:
First, you need to prepare a cardboard template in the shape of a heart and outline it. Its dimensions should correspond to the dimensions of the downloaded and printed template for working in the iris folding technique.
We outline the heart from the inside of the card.
Carefully cut out using scissors for small parts or a stationery knife.
We are preparing a template.
We attach it from the front side with the design inside so that when opening the card it can be seen from the inside.
We take three types of designer paper and cut strips 2-3 cm wide.
We start filling in one by one.
From cells 1a to 4a we use paper of one pattern. When filling cells from 1b to 4b - another pattern, and when filling 1c-4c we use a third type of designer paper.
When the work is ready, remove the template. There is space in the center, which we fill with two red paper hearts.
To beautifully hide the inner part of the work from the inside, you should cut two rectangles of designer paper to the size of the postcard and glue them to both parts of the postcard.
We form a simple bow from a yellow polka-dot ribbon, secure it with glue, and attach a self-adhesive rhinestone of orange or yellow color in the center.
We attach the finished bow to the base.
Now we take small white and orange rhinestones and begin to decorate along the contour, using tweezers for this.
You can write a beautiful handwritten signature on the inside of the card.
A very delicate and beautiful handmade card is ready!
