This master class will teach you how to make a quilling postcard – valentine – with your own hands.
This card can be given for any occasion, including the upcoming Valentine's Day. A beautiful, delicate card in turquoise tones will be an excellent surprise. To make it, you will need to use a card base or a sheet of turquoise A5 cardboard, as well as polka dot paper or paper with a pale shade of pattern, paper for creating quilling or regular colored paper (double-sided). For additional decoration of the card in this work, white rhinestones and a ribbon were used.
List of materials that are necessary for your work:
If you have A4 cardboard, then cut it in half,to get an A5 sheet. Fold this rectangle in half, creating the basis for the postcard. Cut out a 9x14 cm piece from pale blue polka dot designer paper.
Cut 10 cm of blue polka dot ribbon and glue it to the bottom of a rectangle of designer paper.
Cut off about 6 cm more of the ribbon, make a ring and fix it with glue. Then fasten the resulting ring as in the photo.
We attach the resulting detail diagonally to the ribbon on a rectangle of designer paper. We attach a rhinestone in the center and get a beautiful bow.
We attach the finished piece to the turquoise card base using double-sided foam tape, the squares of which are attached to the back side.
Take a turquoise quilling paper about 20-25 cm long and fold it in half. Fix the bend of the strip with glue so that the future heart-shaped detail holds its shape.
We glue the free edges together and attach the finished heart-shaped part to the base with glue. We take white quilling paper about 5-6 cm long and fold it in half.
Using a quilling tool, curl one edge of the bent strip and curl the other edge in the same way.
The result is a heart-shaped detail.
You will need about 18 of these parts depending on the size of the heart. We begin to fill the turquoise heart on the base with the finished white hearts.
Now, from white quilling paper, we make 4-6 round pieces to fill the small empty spaces between the white hearts.
Finally, we decorate the card with rhinestones in the corners.
A very delicate handmade card is ready!
