This master class will teach you how to make your own hands a beautiful valentine from felt
Very soon the most tender one will come to us,sensual and romantic winter holiday – Valentine's Day. Traditionally, on this day it is customary to exchange symbolic valentines in the form of a heart, thus expressing love for your other half.
So, for work we will need:
- sheet felt pink or red;
- in advance embroidered small kartochka cross in the form of amurchik;
- thin white lace;
- thin satin ribbon;
- sintepon;
- needle and thread;
- paper;
- A simple pencil;
- scissors.
Description of work 1. First, draw a heart of the required size on a piece of paper by hand. It is important that it is larger than the embroidered element and freely accommodates it in its area.
2. Next, using the prepared template, cut out two absolutely identical pieces of the future valentine from felt.
3.Now we need to make a hole on the front part of the heart – a window through which our embroidery will be visible. To make everything look neat, first cut it out on a paper template, then transfer it to the fabric and cut it out too.
4. Place the front part of the heart on the embroidery so that it fits completely into the hole.
5.Using a needle and a thread of a contrasting color, in our case it is pale pink, we sew the embroidered element to the felt along the edge of the cut-out hole, using small identical stitches of the “needle forward” stitch.
6. After this, carefully cut off the excess embroidery canvas from the back side and get a blank like this.
7. Next, fold the front and back parts of the valentine and sew them together from the front side along the outer edge using a running stitch.
8. As we sew the heart, fill it with synthetic padding or any other suitable filler.
9. This is the cute little heart we have. All that remains is to decorate it.
10. Take a piece of lace, 30-40 cm long, and gather it onto a needle and thread.
11. Sew the gathered lace along the outer edge of the valentine using blind stitches.
12.We decorate the upper central part of the heart with a voluminous bow, formed from a thin satin ribbon with a large mother-of-pearl bead, and also make a small loop from the ribbon, by which the valentine can be hung.13. This is the beauty we got.
