Time for tea: hours from cups own hands
Do you like to drink coffee alone or with friends?Do you honor the English tradition of five o'clock tea time? Then such homemade clocks made of cups will perfectly fit into the interior of the kitchen or living room and will reflect your love for tea drinking. In addition, clocks made of cups can be a wonderful gift for friends or loved ones.To make a funny clock from cups, you will need:
- a piece of plywood;
- 12 tea or coffee cups and saucers;
- clockwork with arrows;
- optional paint, sequins, beads (or other materials for the decor of the watch case);
- Adhesive suitable for glass and porcelain.
Cut a circle out of plywood - the future dialclock, making sure that all 12 cups and saucers will fit in their places. Make a suitable hole in the center of the circle, attach the clock mechanism to the back side, and the hands to the front side. You can try attaching light teaspoons or cake forks instead of hands. Place the saucers in their strictly designated places (first at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and then two in between). Using glass and porcelain glue, glue the cups to the saucers, and then the saucers to the plywood. If desired, decorate the clock, insert batteries, and enjoy your creation over a cup of aromatic tea!
