A tiny apartment of 8 sq. M, where there is everything necessary
Apartment 8 sq. m. - could you live in it?The designers of the French architectural studio Kitoko have completed an interesting project, turning a former maid's room into a fully functional apartment. They used a technique similar to the structure of a Swiss knife. Can you imagine that behind the glossy doors of a large closet there is a bathroom, a dining area, storage space, and even a bedroom? No matter how you feel about the individualEmperor Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, it is important to know that under his leadership, large-scale work was carried out to improve Parisian housing and the city's infrastructure as a whole. Old and unsafe buildings were torn down, and in their place appeared an almost completely redrawn Parisian street network with modern housing. Many houses built during this period were famous for their separate rooms for maids, who occupied the top floor under the roof. Nowadays, one couple decided to remodel this room for their housekeeper, that is, for a modern maid, but only so that in an apartment of 8 square meters it was possible to sleep, cook, eat, wash and wash, as well as store things and books. A difficult task for such a tiny room.Studio Kitoko took on the challenge using somethingsimilar to a huge closet, taking up half the room. It hides a sleeping area for one, where it is comfortable to sleep even during the day, because the door closes, providing darkness and peace. A pull-out ladder leads to the bed, which also serves as a rack for storing things. Next to it, a spacious closet for outerwear slides out. The table can be completely pulled out and placed in the middle of the room. Two bedside tables are attached under the table. In addition, there are several more convenient shelves and cabinets for storing books and other belongings of the resident. Part of the huge "closet" is occupied by the bathroom area, where there is a toilet, a shower, and a sink. At the end of the room, under the window, there is a small kitchenette. The stove and sink are closed with lids that serve as a countertop for cooking.Flexibility and functionality of spaceis amazing. In a very small area of an apartment of 8 sq. m, the designers managed to place everything necessary, without cluttering the apartment. Light surfaces, the absence of unnecessary details and natural light from the window make the space light, airy and even spacious. If desired, you can hang a shelf on the free wall, and put a fan heater on the floor, a large selection of which is presented in the catalog http://catalogue.technoportal.ua/heater/variations-teploventilyatory.html Video about the apartment: Photos: kitoko-studio.com
