- an image printed on a printer (choose black and white, as a color photo will not look as stylish and original);
- acrylic varnish and gel (medium), which can be easily found in any craft store;
- a brush and the board itself, corresponding to the dimensions of the photograph.
And the first thing in this work will be applicationgel on the wood (the surface should be smooth, you can clean it with sandpaper beforehand). The layer should not be thick, but not too thin either. In the first case, it will be very difficult to detach the paper, and in the second case, the paper will simply not stick and the image will not be able to be printed on the wooden surface. Make the acrylic layer uniform, it should be of medium thickness. Now place the selected photo facing the wood. A very important aspect here is that the image must be laser printed. Make sure that no one touches it. Now you need to remove the paper from the wooden surface. Do this using a damp sponge - it will be much easier. Although you can try to simply wet the wood and rub the paper with your finger. Repeat this action several times. If you want to achieve the effect of a vintage photo, you can age the image. Rub the edges of the wooden board with sandpaper, this way you will not only remove the remains of the gel, but also trim the wood.
