Toys for parrots, made by own hands. Photos of toys and ideas for them.
Those who have parrots at home know how important it iscome up with places for these colorful pets where they will spend their time and toys with which they will have fun. By nature, these birds are very curious and inquisitive. They love to look at themselves in the mirror, ride on swings, climb on various ropes and generally study the whole world around them. In order to keep your parrots busy, you need to provide them with all sorts of entertainment. Toys for parrots do not necessarily have to be purchased in stores, since most of them can be made with your own hands from very primitive materials that you can easily find at home.Parrots, like other birds, cannot constantlylanguish in a cage, so you need to think of a place for them that will be interesting to them when you release them "to freedom". A strong branch can be suitable for these purposes. The trunk itself and many branches to which you can attach objects and toys that will interest your feathered pet must be securely attached to a stable wooden base so that the structure has balance and does not fall when the parrot is located on it. You can construct a cage from wooden planks, just with an unfenced space for the bird to move freely. If such a special place is not equipped, then the parrot will invent it himself, and most likely it will be a cornice in your room, as well as curtains on which he will climb. He may also like a chandelier, you can also sit on it if necessary.
Now it's time to move on to the toys themselves, the goalwhich will attract the attention of curious parrots. These can be small mirrors hanging from a branch with a metal chain, all kinds of ladders and swings, strong ropes tied together with knots. By the way, all kinds of ropes that will be used in the manufacture of such toys should be quite dense, otherwise the bird will quickly gnaw through them and you will have to repair the product again. In order to make a swing for a parrot, you will need a wire that can be relatively easily bent, very thin in this case will not work. Lots of colored large beads, wooden or plastic, but with a hole through which the wire will pass. The perch for the swing on which the parrot will sit also needs to be selected with a suitable hole. Having searched well, you will definitely find something suitable at home. This can be the plastic part of a writing pen, naturally without a rod, or a part from a children's construction set. If you have a small bell, it will also come in handy for the swing. Now let's get to work. Cut the wire to the desired size so that by bending it into a triangle and threading the perch through the bottom (try it out right away to see how much space it will take up in length) the parrot will fit in height when it sits on it. Additionally, you need to consider that the length of the wire will include a loop mount. This loop will need to be secured to a branch or somewhere else when the swing itself is ready. Now take the perch and use it to form the bottom. String beads onto the sides of the wire, not too tightly, so that the parrot can play with them while riding the swing. They should be able to freely rotate along the axis of the wire. When the beads are strung, bend the wire upward, forming a semblance of a triangle. Attach the bell to the intersection of the two ends of the wire. When the parrot swings, it will ring, which will attract the bird even more. When the swing is ready, attach it to the right place, firmly fixing it to the place of attachment. Photos of toys will tell you the correct way to make it.
