Felt toys with their own hands. We sew a giraffe.
DIY felt toys.My child often asks me to sew him a toy with my own hands. I prefer to sew from fleece or felt, because this is the material that does not wrinkle, does not lose brightness and shape, felt is quite durable, and crafts from it will please the eye for a long time. Children like felt toys, because they are very colorful and soft. Sewing from felt is quite simple and convenient, and that is why this material is increasingly used by needlewomen for sewing and crafts with their own hands. This time my son asked me to sew him a giraffe and I want to show you how quickly and easily you can do it. You can even make such a toy together with your child, he will really like it! I also suggest looking at the doctor's kits and felt instruments.I had a big piece of orange felt and Idecided to make a giraffe out of it. We will also need some black and white felt (for spots and eyes), brown yarn for the tail, scissors, thread and a needle, stuffing. To begin with, we drew and cut out the parts needed for the toy from felt - two bodies, a tail and four legs:Sew the legs: sew a piece of felt along the edges and stuff with filler. We used threads from an old pillow as filler. Our giraffe's legs turned out thin and it was very convenient to insert stuffing into them using a stick. So we sew 4 legs. Then we need to sew spots onto the body (both parts), and ears, horns and eyes onto the head. I simply sewed my mouth with red thread. Now we sew on the legs. I decided to make them movable - to achieve this, it is necessary to sew the legs to the body so that the needle passes through the same place in the body each time. Now we make the tail:Sew yarn to a piece of felt, sew on the sides and attach to the trunk. We sew the two parts of the body together and gradually insert the filler into it.A cute toy - a DIY felt giraffe is ready!
