Christmas toys made of cotton wool by their own hands: description of technology and MK / Toys with their own hands, patterns, video, MK

What is the main decoration for the New Year?Many will immediately remember the argument between Pechkin and Uncle Fyodor's dad from the cartoon "Prostokvashino". And of course, they will agree with the latter, because what New Year without a Christmas tree! Children will especially enjoy the process of preparing for the holiday if the toys hung on the tree are made with their own hands. This does not require particularly large expenses, because in order to make a simple decoration, a piece of cotton wool and a few more elements that can be found at home will be enough.

Sheep wool

To make New Year's toys from cotton wool that look like a sheep, you will need:

  • A roll of cotton wool.
  • Wadded disks.
  • Egg.
  • Syringe.
  • Starch.
  • Water.
  • PVA.
  • Wooden or plastic board for cutting.
  • Paints or cardboard.
  • Toothpicks.
  • Detailed instructions on how to make a sheep out of cotton wool:

  • To make it easier to work with cotton wool, it shouldbe soft and pliable. In order for it to acquire the required consistency, it is necessary to prepare a paste. To do this, do the following:
    • A tablespoon of starch should be diluted in a small amount of cold water;
    • heat 250 ml of water to boil and reduce heat;
    • slowly pour the dissolved starch into hot water, stirring constantly;
    • The composition should be brought back to the boil, but not to allow it to properly boil, and remove from the fire.
  • Material for lamb from cotton woolThe resulting mixture must be allowed to cool, after which the paste will be ready for use.

  • Next, you need to prepare an egg that willserve as the body of a toy. To do this, in the lower part of the shell it is necessary to make a small hole with a needle from the syringe and also draw all the liquid from the inside, after which, in the same way, fill the water and pour it out again, and so several times. As a result, a clean and hollow shell must remain.
  • Now you need to divide the cotton wool into several parts,which will be legs, hair on the trunk and head. Dimensions should be chosen so that they are comparable to the egg. For example, the limbs and head should be made of pieces half as large as the egg, and for the wool you need a lot of small pieces that do not exceed 1.5 centimeters in diameter.
  • The obtained pieces of cotton wool must be soaked inpaste, so as not to get dirty, you can put them on toothpicks. In the paste it is necessary to dunk and one wadded disk. After such actions, cotton can be sent for drying on a prepared board.
  • While the cotton wool dries, prepare the egg. To do this, you have to make two holes at a distance of two centimeters from each other and thread them with a needle. Then you need to lubricate half of the egg with a paste and paste a piece of cotton wool on this area, then repeat the process with another part. As a result, you should get a cotton ball with two threads protruding from it.
  • The body of the lamb from the egg

  • After half an hour lying in a warm, ventilated place, cotton wool will take on a good shape. Small details need to be rolled into balls. Legs should be shaped like cones.
  • Now you need to take a dried wadded disk and cut out of it two ovals of a centimeter in length - these are the ears of a sheep. They need to be glued to the head ball with PVA glue.
  • After everything is ready, you can painthead and legs with black paint. For this purpose, acrylic or thick gouache is best. If you do not want to wait long, then the head and legs can be cut from the black cardboard. The same material can make the eyes, but they can be paper.
  • As soon as the head dries, you can collect lamb. This is the last and, perhaps, the most important stage. First, the legs and head are glued to the body on the PVA, and then woolen lambs can be pasted from the back.
  • Finished sheepAs a result, a beautiful sheep will turn out, from the back of which two threads will stick out. Having connected them, you can get a loop, for which it is recommended to hang a cotton ball.

    Mushrooms from cotton wool

    For those who love autumn nature, toys made in the form of mushrooms are suitable. A slightly different method is used to make them, although the materials needed are almost the same:

  • Vata.
  • Water.
  • Starch.
  • Cardboard.
  • Brush.
  • Gloves.
  • A thick thread or string.
  • Napkin.
  • Paints.
  • To make mushrooms for your Christmas tree with your own hands, you should do the following:

  • First of all, you need to prepare a paste, which includes starch and brought to boiling 250 ml of water. Its manufacture is already known from the previous work.
  • While the paste is cooling down, it is necessary to take a cardboard and cut out a small disk from it, having made two holes in it. They should be located in centimeter from each other in the center.
  • In the holes made, the lace is threaded so that on one side there is a loop with a height of 5 cm.
  • Fungus cap

  • Around the formed loop, you need to wrapa napkin, pressing it to a disk from a cardboard so that as a result the hemisphere has turned out, from which 2-3 cm of a loop will be visible. This will be the skeleton of the mushroom cap.
  • Forming a mushroom hat

  • By the time when the work with napkins is over, the paste will cool down. Now you need to wear gloves and take a brush. With it, the paste must be applied to a napkin, soaking the top layer.
  • On a damp cloth, apply a layer of cotton wool, then gradually, promazyvaya and applying layers of cotton wool, go to the carton, and from it to the lower ends of the lace.
  • Formation of a foot of a fungus from cotton wool

  • Two strands located on the reverse sideCardboard is the future leg of the fungus. It also needs to be made thick with cotton wool and paste. This procedure of deposition is long and somewhat like papier-mâché.
  • As a result, after applying a few layers on the frame, the figure of the fungus will be clearly visible, and after drying will become firm.
  • After drying, the mushroom can be painted in any color. For example, it was decided to turn the figure into a white mushroom: the leg is painted white, and the cap - brown gouache.
  • Ready-made fungus for decorationWhile the paint is still wet, you can dip its leg intea leaves. This will create the effect as if the mushroom was just pulled out of the ground. The main thing is that the tea is finely crushed. Anyone can make toys from cotton wool with their own hands, giving them any desired shape, you just need to show a little imagination.
