Unicorn amigurumi crochet. The work of Xenia

The unicorn is a fairy-tale, mythical character.Known in many cultures around the world, it appears only to selected and pure-hearted people. A beautiful white horse with an elegant twisted horn on its head is a favorite of both adults and adults. I can’t help but mention little Agnes from the cartoon Despicable Me, who dreamed of a unicorn - first a toy, then a real one. And while I was knitting, I couldn’t get her phrase out of my head when I saw my new plush friend: “MY FLUFFY!” :) Unicorns are knitted in all sizes and colors, crocheted and knitted. I decided to invent and knit an amigurumi unicorn - miniature and cute. The height of the finished unicorn is 6.5 cm (including the horn 8.5 cm), it is well suited for a keychain. I designed my unicorn in a classic look - a white body and a delicate palette for the hooves and mane. However, the fairytale horse will look great in any other colors; you can experiment with a rainbow of colors:) The figure of the horse is simple, it resembles a dog - the symbol of the year, and even a novice needlewoman can handle it. A unicorn is knitted quickly, in one or two evenings. The yarn consumption is very small; leftovers from skeins work well. To create a toy you will need:

  • yarn Pekhorka «Children's novelty» (100% high volume acrylic, 200 m/50 g), I used the colors white, pink and iceberg;
  • hook №1,4;
  • sintepon for filling;
  • a needle with a blunt end;
  • eyes or beads (optional);
  • Reel or woolen thread for the design of the face.

Let's move on to the body. It originates from a hole in the head, the thread can be secured in one of the sides: take white yarn 1st row: 6 increases (12) 2nd row: 12 sc 3rd row: *1 sc inc* 6 times (18) 4-5 rows : 18 sbn in each row 6th row: *2 sbn inc* 6 times (24) 7th row: 24 sbn 8th row: *7 sbn inc* 3 times (27) 9-11 rows: 27 sbn 12th row: *7 sbn dec* 3 times (24) 13 row: *2 sc dec* 6 times (18) - stuff the body with padding polyester 14 row: *1 sc dec* 6 times (12) 15 row: 6 decreases, close knitting We will knit small ears for the unicorn. Take white yarn. We collect 3 air loops, then 1 sc in the second loop from the hook (middle loop), 3 sc in the outer loop, 1 sc in the middle loop, a total of 5 sc, cut the thread, leave the tip for sewing. We knit two ears. We knit the legs. We take iceberg-colored yarn: 1st row: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring 2nd row: 6 increases (12) 3rd row: 12 sc behind the back walls of the loops of the previous row, change the yarn to white 4-6 row: 12 sc in each row, cut the thread, leave the tip. Knit four legs. When sewing, I placed the top legs a little closer to each other than the bottom ones. Fill the padding polyester loosely.Let's get down to the most important detail of the unicorn -Let's tie a horn for him. You will need quite a bit of beige yarn: Row 1: 4 sc in an amigurumi ring. To create the second row, you will need to turn the first row out a little: row 2: 4 sbn 3 row: increase, 3 sbn (5) 4 row: inc, 4 sbn (6) 5th row: inc, 5 sbn (7) 6th row: inc, 6 sbn (8) 7th row: inc, 7 sbn (9) Fill the horn with padding polyester. We connect all the parts of the unicorn together and start decorating. For the mane and tail, I cut pink and mint yarn into 9 cm pieces. I secured the pieces by folding them in half and pulling them through the middle, and pulled the ends into the resulting loop. For the mane I made two threads in a bun, for the tail I used four threads of both shades. For the face, I used black spool thread and embroidered smiling eyes, nostrils and mouth for the horse. For the eyes, you can use beads or blanks from the store. The resulting smiling unicorn will be a good gift for little princesses who dream of a fairy-tale pony, as well as for all people dear and close to their hearts:) Author of the work Wait, I’m loading…
