The artist uses plates of different sizes andshapes as a canvas for creating large-scale images. Each plate is hand-painted by Molly herself, so it is a very painstaking and complex work. The drawings on each plate are part of a whole picture - a mosaic. Her collection includes paintings of 16-40 plates, and there are also complex compositions of more than 500 decorative plates. The artist borrows themes for her ceramic mosaics from museum paintings, ancient ornaments on vases and engravings.
