An unusual luminaire for your favorite things
A display lamp is not a lighting fixturefor shop windows, as one might think from the name. Showcase lamps in the interior allow you to solve several problems at once. Firstly, the main purpose is to illuminate the space, and secondly, the special design of the lamp allows you to display various things for everyone to see - souvenirs, toys, books. Thus, you can often change the composition in the lamp, focusing attention and highlighting certain objects.A famous furniture and accessories storefor interior Laura Ashley presents an interesting base for a table lamp, made in the form of a transparent glass dome. The Whitley base will fit into absolutely any interior thanks to its simple airy design. In a Scandinavian style interior, you can leave the base empty or put a small pot with a plant under the dome, in a classic interior you can put a marble figurine under the dome, and any modern style can be supported by various bright things in the lamp. In addition, you can easily change the lampshade itself. See how original such a showcase lamp looks in the interior.
Industrial designer Chen Karlsson proposedanother, ceiling version of the showcase lamp. In fact, the chandelier consists of two lampshades - a small one with a light bulb and the main glass one, designed for displaying favorite things. The lamp is called Favorite Things. There is a hole in the glass lampshade, through which a hand can easily pass. In this way, you can place small objects in the lamp, which will be the center of attention under excellent lighting.
French designer Vanessa Mitrani alsocame up with her own model of a display lamp that combines the features of the first two. The table lamp-display has the shape of a top. Small toys and souvenirs can be placed in a small hole in the glass shade, and an LED bulb is installed in the chrome top, illuminating the collection and the space around it.
