Useful information on how to create a bird feeder with your own hands.
Making a bird feeder is not difficult at all. There are several ways and now we will tell you about them. Method No. 1 Bird feeder from a net with small cells and a small piece of wire. So, we make a bag out of the net and put soaked bread scraps (crackers) in it, you can also put raw seeds or millet, even dried rowan berries, thrushes will appreciate them. Having put food in the bag, we tighten it tightly and tie it with a string. We cut off a piece of wire, bend it into a hook on one side, and leave the other end straight. We go to the park, forest or just to the yard, wrap the wire around a hanging branch, and hang the bag-feeder on the hook.Method #2
For this method we will need a paper bag.from kefir, juice or milk. In two walls of the bag at a height of 5-6 cm you need to make holes of such a size that the bird can pass through, put a small flat stone (like from the sea) on the bottom for stability from the wind, and make small holes at the top, through which a cord is threaded for fastening. So, we thread the cord through the holes, put a stone on the bottom of the feeder for weighting, then pour in bird food and then carefully hang this structure on a tree.
Method #3
You can quickly make a bird feeder- lovers of eating meat or lard (in particular, titmice). To do this, take a tennis ball or any other, necessarily strong, ball and pierce it with two wire knitting needles crosswise. Then, perpendicular to them in the middle of the crossing, pierce the third one (it will hold the structure on the tree). Bend the lower end or put a cork on it, and later you will need to hook the feeder to the tree by the upper end, winding the wire around the branch. On the four freely protruding sides of the two knitting needles, string pieces of unsalted lard or meat, and either bend the ends of the knitting needles or put on pieces of wood or cork, which will prevent food from falling to the ground and hide the sharp ends of the wire. Method No. 4
We arm ourselves with a sheet of plywood, planks, nails, glue and a hammer. From a sheet of plywood, you need to cut out a rectangle approximately 45x35 cm and attach it along the perimeter of the plank. Then from the same plywood, you need to cut out two identical rectangles of approximately the same size and knock them together to make a roof. We nail the roof to the rectangle - we get a bird feeder that can be hung or nailed to a tree. Such a feeder can be supplemented with a metal bottom, grates or perches at your discretion. In addition to all of the above, bird feeders can be made from anything your heart desires: plastic bottles, tubes from monitor napkins, plastic food containers and even flower pots, the main thing is to love animals and have the desire to take care of them.
