Volumetric finishing of walls with own hands
Some design studios offeran original alternative to regular wallpaper — decorative wall panels with three-dimensional patterns and designs. But such pleasure is not cheap. It’s good that there are people who have figured out how to make such a panel with their own hands, which will cost much less than the original! Here is one of the walls with decorative three-dimensional panels from modularart, which inspired a journalist from StarTribune to decorate the wall in his bathroom using the same principle. This project took severaldozens of wooden planks of different lengths and widths, which were attached to the wall with liquid nails. To achieve the effect of a designer wall, the planks were arranged in two layers in a checkerboard pattern. Then the entire surface was carefully painted white, and the result is almost indistinguishable from the original!
