Beading is a unique opportunity to create beautiful products with your own hands - jewelry or decorative elements. If we talk about trees woven from beads, they are relevant in any interior, being a wonderful addition to it. Such a product will also be an excellent gift for a loved one or friends. The work process is so simple that it will not cause any difficulties and over time you will be able to create beautiful masterpieces yourself. In this article, we suggest you make an original olive tree from beads. You can make exactly the same craft or use this idea to create your own tree, slightly modified. In order for us to be able to start the creative process, we need to prepare the tools and materials that we will need in our work.
- The wire should be soft and thin enough to allow beads to be easily strung onto it.
- Beads - to make a tree we need green and dark blue. Green beads should be taken in three different shades.
- The beads are oval and quite large, resembling olives in shape.
- Sharp scissors.
- Ceramic pot or pots.
- Glue.
- Pebbles.
- A ribbon used by florists, silk threads or a string of floss
Initially we will make seven-leaf branchesfor a tree. First, unwind the wire from the skein and, without cutting it, begin stringing the beads. In doing so, we will string beads of different color shades, alternating them. Now we need to bend the wire so that its free end and the working end (not cut from the skein) are 15 - 20 centimeters long. This will be the future stem of our branch. We need to move nine beads so that they are on the working end, place the tenth bead and fix it. To do this, twist the wire four times, as shown in the photo. We will get the top of the future petal. From the working part of the wire we move nine more beads to the resulting top and connect them with the opposite ones. We twist the wire twice. We repeat the previous action, but we do not select the tenth bead. We will twist the wire around the top that we already have. Our first leaf is ready. To keep it from losing its shape, we will secure it with a double twist. Then we will continue the process of twisting the wire, thus forming the petiole. We will make the next six leaves similarly to the first one, according to the scheme we already know. Don't forget to leave the wire to create the petiole. This way we will get the branch we need fromseven leaves. We need to make exactly thirty-five of these branches. After the first branch, the work will go much faster, and the diagram and description will speed up and facilitate the work process. To make it easier to work, you can move all the beads or string beads of only one color, sometimes adding beads of other shades. This way, you will get leaves of only one color - green. No olive tree can be completelywithout olives. Therefore, we must add them. For this, we will need large oval-shaped beads. We will string them according to the diagram, one at a time. First, there are beads, then a bead is strung, then beads again. Now we pass the wire back through the bead. We do not touch the beads (do not pass the wire through them). We make an indent of one centimeter and pass the wire through the lower bead. Similarly, we repeat the procedure twenty-five - thirty times. Individual elements of our tree are completely ready. Now we need to start decorating the olive tree itself. To do this, we will cut the thick wire into nine identical parts, the length of which should be 35 - 40 centimeters. We need to tightly wind four twigs on each part. We will weave olives inside, several pieces. Then we will wrap the tops of the branches with threads, and the remaining parts with floral tape. Now take one of the branches, which will serve as the base of the tree, and screw three side branches to it. Repeat the action once more - you will get four side branches. We will wrap each of these branches in turn, first with threads, and then with ribbons. As a result, we will get two fairly thick branches that we will twist into one trunk. We will give the tree trunk a slight bend. Again, wrap the trunk with threads and ribbon. We will twist the thin branches with a knitting needle. All that remains is to straighten the olive tree (all its branches and leaves) and place it in a pot or planter, depending on what you have chosen. Fill the planter with pebbles used for decoration, or pebbles. The beaded olive tree is ready.
