Wooden stools created in the fire
A collection of these wooden stools from Belgiumdesigner Kaspar Hamacher was given the name "Burnt" (Ausgebrannt). Indeed, the legs of the stool were created by heat and flame, not by chisel and saw.Kaspar Hamacher first cleans the suitablelogs from the bark, and then crosses the burning logs so that they burn through the voids, leaving four chair legs of rough, uneven shapes. After the "flame" work, the chair is once again cleaned of the top layer of wood, polished, and the inner parts of the legs are processed (so that the ash does not fall).
This original wooden stool can bedo it yourself. It is better to carry out the work outdoors, where you can freely set fire to the logs and let them burn properly. The burning logs will have to be of the right size, you will need to put them under and adjust them during the burning process, thus correcting the unique shape of the legs.
The designer's idea of making such chairs with his own hands can be used to create unusual furniture for the garden and summer house.
