Master class on the creation of a New Year's doll will help to make a bunny Tilda own hands
With the onset of winter and in anticipationthe preceding New Year holidays, you and I are in a particularly creative mood. Isn't that right? That's why I decided to dedicate this master class to sewing a very beautiful and gentle Tilda bunny. She will definitely give you a magical mood and conquer you with her uniqueness! So, shall we begin?And to work on the Tilda bunny we will need some material, namely:
- fabric cotton pink in flower;
- fabric with fur white;
- pink plain fabric (cotton);
- cloth beige cotton;
- sintepon or holofayber;
- pink thin 0.3 mm tape;
- thread pink;
- thread white;
- fine pink yarn;
- black beads - 2 pcs.;
- pompom white;
- scissors;
- needle;
- shadows and brushes;
- decorative flower;
- pins are sewing.
Well, here, all the necessary material is prepared.for work. And now you can proceed to the process of sewing the Tilda bunny. All the fabric should be pre-ironed for a better look in the finished product. In the meantime, we still need to figure out the pattern of the product. It is provided below. You can print it on a sheet of A4 paper or simply redraw it by placing a clean sheet on the switched on monitor with the image of the pattern and tracing everything along the contour with a simple pencil. Do not press hard so as not to damage the monitor.Don't forget to indicate the required quantity on each of the parts. This is very important so that you don't get confused later when cutting out the required number of elements.The patterns are ready. Now we will carefully cut them all out of a sheet of paper along the contours.We take beige (flesh-colored) fabric, in advanceprepared and ironed. Fold it in half with the right sides facing inward. Place the paper patterns of the bunny's body and arms on top of the fabric. Pin these paper pattern pieces together with sewing pins.Then with a simple pencil or dryyou need to trace these parts along the contour with a piece of soap. Moreover, we will trace the handles twice. We remove the paper pattern, but after, we return the pins to their place, this is necessary so that the fabric does not slip off during work.We cut out the pattern from the fabric, taking into account small allowances, approximately 0.5 cm on each side, as seen in the photo.Then we stitch along the marked line using a machine stitchlines of the bunny's arms and body. After that, we'll make cuts along the contour to the seam. The only thing is, be very careful not to accidentally cut the seam. Otherwise, the product can't be saved in any way and you'll have to redo everything again.Let's prepare the following pattern pieces. Take the ear and leg pieces. Prepare pink fabric for them. Fold it in half with the right sides facing inward.Place the paper pattern of the paws and ear.But we place the ear piece so that its lower part is located on the bend. This is clearly visible in the photo below. We pin the pieces together.We trace strictly along the contour of the paper pattern piece with a pencil or chalk. Then we remove the pattern pieces and pin the fabric again.Machine stitch the leg parts, but do not touch the ear parts, as we will sew them with other parts made of different fabric. The ears of our Tilda bunny will be double-sided.So, let's prepare the paper pattern for the ears again.Let's cut out the bunny's paws with allowances. We won't cut out the ears along the contour with allowances, we'll just slightly trim off the excess fabric. This will make it much easier to work with this detail further.Now let's prepare beige fabric (100% cotton) for the outside of the bunny's ears.Place the first piece of pink fabric on topwhite. Moreover, we put one on top of the other face to face. We pin the parts together with sewing pins. The place that should be left unstitched is indicated with chalk. We will turn the product inside out through it later.We sew a machine stitch strictly along the line.We cut off the ear pieces with allowances of 0.5-0.6 cm on all sides.We turn each piece right side out.Let's prepare the filling for the products.Holofiber is best suited for this. But if you don't have it, you can also use silicone or synthetic padding. Fill each part of the product (bunnies) quite tightly.Let's take the details of the bunny's arms. Using hand stitches, we sew up the place through which we turned the detail itself.We bend the bottom of the filled body inwards. And pin the folded parts with tailor's pins, as you can see in the photo.And then we sew this hem with hand stitches.Let's move on to preparing the Tilda bunny's leg pieces. Sew them with hand stitches right along the top of the leg pieces, stepping back about 1 cm from the edge.Once the hem and legs are prepared, insert the leg pieces inside, placing them as shown in the photo.Now let's take the fabric for the dress. It should be pre-ironed. Let's measure a rectangle measuring 46 x 10 cm. Let's cut this piece according to the measurements given.We iron one edge of the fabric along the width with a hot iron.Then we lay a thin layer over the smoothed edge.ribbon and pin it with tailor's pins. Then sew the ribbon with a machine stitch. In this way, we will not only decorate (create a ribbon decor) the bottom of the bunny's dress, but also fix the hem itself.Fold the fabric in half widthwise face to face and pin the edges together as shown in the photo. Sew the fabric in half.We gather the stitched fabric into folds and fix it just below the neck of the bunny.And after this, we fix the folded fabric with hand stitches.Let's move on to the second pattern - clothesTilda bunnies. Cut out according to the outline of the detail. And immediately prepare the fabric with fur. Or take a fabric similar to fur, for example, plush or fleece. Fold the fabric in half with the face inward.Place the paper pattern pieces on top of the folded fabric. Pin them together with tailor's pins. Trace the pattern pieces along the contour with a simple pencil or a dry piece of soap.We cut out all the details with allowances.Then we remove the paper patterns and pin the fabric again from the edge to the center, as you can see in the photo. Why do it this way? It will be easier to machine stitch the parts without basting.And now we sew the parts together with a machine stitch. In the first round part we leave a small space unstitched. We will need to turn the part inside out through this space.Turn the pieces right side out and sew the largest piece together with hand stitches.Now take the details of the sewn bunny handles and the just prepared sleeve details. Insert the handles into the sleeves, fix these details with pins.Then, turning the top of the round piece back by 2 cm, we pin it around the bunny’s body.We fix the coat detail on the neck with hand stitches and thread in the color of the clothes.Sew the pompom to the place where the part is connected - in the front, as seen in the photo.Now we pin the bunny's arms to the right place and sew them on using fairly strong hand stitches.We move on to the ears, covering the bunny's head with them. We fix the ears to the head with pins. Then we sew the ears also with hand stitches - unnoticeably.To decorate the head of our magic bunny we will need two beautiful miniature flowers. Sew them on either side of the head above the ears.All that's left is to sew on the eyes. For this, we'll use two black beads. We'll pin them in place. And then we'll sew them on very tightly with black thread.Using regular pink threads or floss, we embroider the bunny’s nose and mouth, as shown in the photo.All that's left is to apply blush to our fashionista! This can be done with regular eyeshadow or dry blush. Apply them with a brush and lightly blend with your fingertip.Here is our super-fashionable beauty ready.Tilda bunny. Did everything work out for you? Such a toy can be used both as a decoration for a child's room, bathroom, and as a great exclusive gift. Also, such a bunny can be sewn in any other outfit.
