Master-class will tell you how to make a modular star of origami from paper with your own hands
There are an incredible number of different origami stars. This tutorial will show you how to make a very simple modular star that resembles a flower. For our work we need:
- colored paper,
- scissors,
- Ruler and pencil,
- glue,
- color pencils,
- Double-sided tape.
For each star, prepare 8 square sheets of paper with a side of 7-8 cm.Let's start making the module. We bend the sheet along one and the other diagonal.
Turn it over and fold it in half.
Following the lines, we fold the workpiece into a double triangle.
We turn it upside down and bend both sides up. The module is ready.
We make 7 more parts in a similar manner.
We connect the modules by inserting them into each other. We apply a little glue.
We glue the eighth part to the first one. The star is almost ready.
This is what it looks like from the back side.
You can fold the petals again to give them more volume.
We decorate the center of the star with a double flower. We attach it with double-sided tape. You can glue a half-bead or a rhinestone into the middle.
And the festive star-flower is completely finished!
The reverse side looks no less attractive.
Despite the simplicity, the stars turn out very impressive, voluminous and bright.
They are beautiful in themselves. If you attach a ribbon, they make wonderful Christmas tree decorations. Two stars can be glued together – and then the resulting star will be “fluffy” on both sides. Such flowers will decorate a postcard, envelope, gift box or other craft well. A similar flower can decorate the center of a multi-colored chamomile. And this is how the stars look on bookmarks.
To create small flowers, use squares with a side of 4-5 cm. These are the wonderful flower stars you get!
