Yellow lamp: an interesting design of the facade

The theatre begins with a coat rack, and the restaurant begins withentrance decoration. A bright, original, interesting exterior makes passers-by stop, take a photo, pay attention and, ultimately, go in. And if the cuisine and service of the establishment are at the highest level, then success is almost guaranteed. A vegetarian restaurant in Madrid, Spain, did not stand out at first glance. An ordinary cafe in a gray building. But a team of artists (fos) made such a design of the facade that the restaurant became a local landmark. The popularity of the establishment has grown so much that the owners are seriously thinking about expanding! The idea of ​​​​the facade decor is quite simple - imitation of bright yellow light pouring from a lamp, covering different objects strictly in the projection of the shape of the lamp. Moreover, the "light" falls on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. The choice of base material is interesting.From a distance it looks like the wall is painted yellow. But it is not. Several dozen rolls of adhesive protective tape were used as a coating! Take a closer look.But it couldn't be done without paint.Part of the painting, a table, a bench and a stool were covered with bright yellow acrylic paint. The composition is completed by a yellow vase with yellow flowers and several real pineapples. The owners of the establishment regularly change all these small details, fruits and vegetables, updating the composition. The work on the project took 4 days and nights. Opposite the restaurant, the artists laid out a schematic camera on the asphalt with adhesive tape as a sign that this is where they would get great pictures of the unusual entrance. The finished design of the facade was also called fos, which the famous company translated as "light" from Greek, "melted", "melted" - from Catalan.
