New Year's hand-crafting: Christmas boot for the 2015 contest, New Year's crafts by own hands
On New Year's Eve and Christmas, we all havethere is always a lot of trouble, because you want this holiday to be especially fun, elegant and fabulous. That is why so much time is devoted to New Year's home decor. There are traditional decorations, without which such an event cannot do, among them a decorative Christmas boot for gifts, which is usually hung on the fireplace, window, door, Christmas tree, etc. Today, you can buy such a boot in any suitable store, but you can also make it yourself, as this master class will tell you exactly how.So, for work we will need:– pieces of colored sheet felt; – colored satin ribbons of different widths; – scissors; – sewing needle; – colored thin threads; – a sheet of paper and a simple pencil. Description of work. 1. Let's start by drawing the outline of our future boot on a sheet of paper using a simple pencil. Its shape is very similar to a felt boot. The size of such a product can be different, depending on your wishes.2.Next, we cut out the completed sketch from paper along the outline, and then, using the resulting template, we cut out two identical parts. In our case, the front part of the boot will be a pleasant green shade, and the back part will be chocolate.3. As an applique to decorate the boot, we chose the silhouette of a Christmas deer, which is what we first depict on paper. 4. ThenUsing the resulting template, cut out the necessary details from pieces of colored felt.5.Now, armed with a sewing needle and a thread of a suitable color, carefully sew all the applique details one by one to the front part of the future boot. For this, we use the simplest and most familiar stitch, “needle forward.”6. We complement the applique with a decorative voluminous bow made from satin ribbon.7. To decorate the top of the boot, cut out a wave-shaped decoration from red felt and sew it on using a running stitch.8. After all the decorative elements have been sewn on, we connect both halves of the boot together, with the wrong side facing inward, and sew them together using the “forward needle” stitch.9. Finally, so that our boot can be hung, we form a loop from a thin satin ribbon, decorate it with a small bow and sew it to the upper corner of the product. This is the Christmas boot we got.
