Autonomous house from a container with a spacious terrace
House made of containers - enougha widespread phenomenon now and no longer having the same aura of romance and novelty as at the dawn of its appearance. But this does not mean that architects and designers no longer create fantastic and original housing projects from a shipping container. The Dwell (from the English - "to dwell", "to live") by G-Pod studio is a unique summer house, the usable area of which can be tripled thanks to the wise use of every centimeter of space both inside and outside. The original appearance of the house in a folded state— is a standard container, which makes its transportation to any corner of the globe very convenient. As soon as the container is in that picturesque place where you would like to spend warm days — the most interesting part begins: You can make a house from a container both manually and with the help of a hydraulic system. The company's specialists claim that all manipulations for installing housing can easily be done by one person in about three hours. The container house was specially designed foruse both in civilized conditions and in autonomous mode. In order to live in a deserted area for a long time, additional modules are required: solar panels on the terrace, a rainwater collection system, its purification and recirculation, autonomous sewage. Your own garden on the roof of the container will allow you to grow some vegetables, berries and herbs. The decor is carefully thought out.The house has a kitchen area with all the necessary functionality, a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, a work area, a sleeping area with a double bed, as well as wardrobes and drawers for storing things. There is a bench and a barbecue on the covered terrace. The interior is made in light colors using natural materials. LED panels on the ceiling softly illuminate the house at night, and during the day, natural light enters the home through the terrace. The entrance is closed with a screen on which you can watch movies. When folded, the area of the house isonly 12.5 square meters, but after sliding out the modules on both sides, the area increases to 18 square meters. The covered terrace adds another 16.8 square meters, which allows the total area to reach an impressive 34.8 m². Due to their compactness and autonomy, the Dwell container house can be installed almost anywhere. You can even create an entire community of such container houses. The starting price of a module is $ 49,000. Of course, there are less expensive representatives of container construction. But only a few of them have such a functional and wise design.Photos: G-Pod
