Charging for all devices in one place
If each person in your family has 2-3devices that require charging (phone, mp3 player, tablet, etc.), then you have probably encountered a lot of inconveniences associated with this. But they can be avoided by creating an improvised docking station from a bread bin, or another suitable box with a lid.
Having made such a thing, you can forget about the constant search for chargers, looking for free sockets for them, untangling knots of wires and similar problems.
You can also make a charging station in a cabinet,then it won't be conspicuous and won't take up extra space. It's even more convenient in some ways. However, don't forget that any device heats up during charging. One phone in a desk drawer will charge normally, but 5-6 devices can create a "steam room" that won't do them any good.Which option to choose is up to you, but believe me, the result is worth the effort.
